To overcome fear we must put our “hope” antenna to work. Hope is an essential and fundamental element of Christian life. In it is the whole glory of the Christian vocation is centered (Eph 1:18). We have a lively hope, a hope without frail and perishable, but having a perennial life (Pet 1:3). While Christ is the actual object of the believer’s hope (Col 1:27; Tit 2:13) and our hope for eternal life (Rom 12:12) is not same with the unbeliever (Eph 2:12; 1Thess 4:13).

Beloved, there is a fear that has no torment but joy and insight. It is linked with love and hope and is therefore not a slavish dread, but rather loving reverence (Isa 63:16; 64:. That is what we are considering today by God’s grace and as promised us by the Spirit of God, will never be diminished by fear after this series.
