Red Dress Collection:New York Celebrities worked their magic at the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Fall 2009 fashion show. Wearing all different designer dresses, celebs took the stage to raise awareness about heart disease and how important is it for women (and men) to protect their hearts Lacoste :New York Lacoste delivered a retail-ready collection rather than fashion-forward. It was about relaxed elegance with chic and smooth knits and lots of layering. Colors to pick up on were grey, yellow, white, and indigo blue. Diane Von Furstenberg: New York The best word to describe this collection: "funky." The designer sent out a melting pot's worth of fabrics. It was a thick, heavy, comfy look, with lots of prints and lots of textures. Barbie's 50th Anniversary Show: New York Barbie's first-ever runway show featured looks created by 50 American designers, and the world’s top models brought the doll to life. The collection celebrated the past, present and future of fashion, with Barbie as the muse. Pure fun.

Vivienne Westwood :Paris Using draping, folding and ruching, the British designer sent out shirt dresses, traveling capes and cowl neckline jackets that were quite brave and refreshing. Issey Miyake :Paris The Issey Miyake show was a homage to Japanese culture and a perfect expression of fashion in motion. It was fun and energetic, from the opening looks of easy cuffed pants and jackets to the more streetwise styles, such as mesh tops worn over sporty neon pieces. Gucci :Milan Keeping up with the 80’s, Gucci's latest collection in Milan was full of glitter and glamour yet strong - showcasing the independent woman. Isaac Mizrahi :New York What’s there not to like about a collection entitled, 'Smile: Fall 2009’? Isaac Mizrahi was determined to make the audience smile with bright colors, chunky knits and comfort coats.

Zac Posen :New York The designer's 40’s inspired collection contained gorgeous Victorian gowns, jackets, suits in warm and nude shades, and fabrics from lace, silk, satin and sequins. Nanette Lepore :New York Nanette Lepore is known for creating ultra feminine pieces and her Fall 2009 collection was no different. In her runway show, it was obvious to see the touches of vintage influences in the fabrics, silhouettes and color choices. But Lepore managed to put a modern glamorous spin on it all. Oscar de la Renta :New York This season’s collection followed along with so many of the other collections of the season, lots of dark metallic colors, animal prints, and even hobo bags which are the it item of the Spring season. Marc by Marc Jacobs :New York Taking a spin off your thrift shop favorites, this collection does well in combining a vintage technique into contemporary designs, allowing for an endless amount of stylish combinations.

Baby Phat :New York For Baby Phat Fall 2009, Kimora Lee Simmons' muse was the First Lady. The collection was soft, pretty and classic, with a little glamour and a little glitter. Positively lady-like Tracy Reese :New York Tracy Reese worked a schoolgirl vibe for Fall, adding nerdy specs, knit caps, and knee socks to most of her looks. Her dresses could be styled just as easily for a college campus as for a luxury resort. Marc Jacobs :New York He worked his way through little silver-and-black A-line shifts; party dresses in metallic leathers and floral brocades with flaring, full skirts and monster shoulders; velvet bustier tops and high-waisted over-dyed jeans; and Crayola-bright jackets, capes, and hooded coats. Diesel Black Gold :New York The collection took intriguing elements of the heyday of jazz and gave them the Diesel treatment with a contemporary rock and roll feel

Dsquared :Milan The Dsquared² models strutted down the catwalk clutching Starbucks venti lattes and BlackBerry phones, wearing preppy shirts and boyfriend jeans topped off with a washed leather jacket and a trucker hat. Nearly every look was accessorized with caps, sunglasses and a little bling. DKNY :New York A modern girl on the go can appreciate this collection. It was modern, polished and pulled together with pencil skirts, boxy coats and clashing patterns that kept things from looking too mature or too vintage

Giambattista Valli :Paris The two main themes of the collection were ankle length bell shaped skirts, and peacock feathers. Gorgeous double-faced coats, high-waisted pants and draped dresses made up the rest of the collection. Valentino :Paris Dresses in acid yellow, emerald green, turquoise, wine red, and black (Fall 2009’s color of choice) were polished and interestingly cut with twists, folds and pleats. Hermes :Paris Hermes collection left fashionistas flying high, complete with goggles, flying caps and loads or fur trims. There were fur-collared crocodile bombers and leather skirt suits mixed with an amazing array of trenches and tailored trousers. Louis Vuitton :Paris The Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 show gave us a superb color palette with lots of pompoms, ruffles, bows, Playboy bunny ears and ruching. Puffy skirts, delicate lace blouses and knit cardigans were all presented to complete this gorgeous collection.

Michael Kors :New York Michael Kors offered everything a woman will need in her fall wardrobe – from cool casual to puffy cashmere coats. On the runway there were clothes for work, travel, vacation or evening event. Stella McCartney :Paris McCartney’s collection provided a complete wardrobe for women who connect with her brand of sophisticated, sleek, easy, wearable fashionable pieces – easily worn from day to night. Viktor & Rolf :Paris Talk about a literal interpretation, Viktor & Rolf’s Fall 2009 collection looked straight out of a Greco-Roman sculpture exhibit. Draped sleeves, draped pants, draped coats, draped skirts … even stone-like gray faces!
