Bayelsa State PDP Raises Alarm over contracts awarded to Timipre Sylva by NDDC without due process.
The APC Guber candidate for Bayelsa State Timipre Sylva has been awarded contracts worth hundred million naira from NDDC without passing through due process. According to my sources, President M. Buhari gave an instruction to release funds without any delay to enable him campaign for the fourth coming election in Bayelsa state. However, Timipre Sylva said the money will not be enough to run his campaign that more funds should be added if he will win this election. This kept me thinking; could it be that due process does not apply to APC candidates running for? Or the fact remains that NDDC received orders from above to do the unthinkable by funding APC indirectly. If this is true then everything going on in Bayelsa working against the government not to release allocation to the government was already planned.
My advice is, the Federal Government, Parastatals should not get involved in politics. Due process should be followed Sylva has the rights to be awarded contracts but he does not have the rights not to pass through due process.
