There's no big deal there, the help is being paid to assist her madam, it's not like the fan is a weapon of mass destruction or she is being punished for something or any physical or psychological trauma is happening to her.

It's something I could do do for a sister, an older neighbour, I sit and fan my sister's baby anytime there's no light and she's sweaty.

Maybe it's time to also enforce one-child policy in every family, to curtail people from giving birth to many children they can't afford to look after.

My neigbor's wife currently has a maid that isn't more than 10years old. Watching this lady constantly 'over use' this little girl saddens me.
On several occasions, I've watched this lady drive in from grocery runs with all her kids in tow and everyone gets out of the car and heads into the house empty handed while the maid makes several trips to the car to go unload the groceries.
And I wonder what is she teaching her little kids? Isn't it better to teach your kids to do these little things by themselves, and wait for no one?
