No it is not. From what I know, people do it do that they can be "seen" by other road users.  [Obviously, forgetting that it dazzles other road user] |

Sorry, I cant be of help on that one. However, it may be worth knowing that the recent BMWs may throw up a "fault code" if a different type of bulb is used from what the manufacturer's recommend. |
