Yenagoa - Governor Seriake Dickson of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) and Timipre Sylva of the
All Progressives Congress (APC) appear to be
running neck and neck in Saturday’s governorship
election in Bayelsa State, reports NewsDay.

Results collated so far by the Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) indicate that
the election is too close to call.

Collation of the results went far into the night on
Saturday but a clearer picture is expected to
emerge on Sunday.

Early results showed that the PDP performed
badly in some of the areas it considered its
strongholds, including the neighbourhood of
Government House, Yenagoa.

Results from Ekeremor, Brass, Kolokuma/Opokuma,
Nembe and Yenagoa Local Government Areas
showed that Sylva had pulled ahead of Dickson,
although the Governor was on top in Sagbama
Local Government area.

Voting would hold in Southern Ijaw Local
Government area of the state on Sunday.

INEC cancelled election in the area following
disturbances in the area on Saturday.

INEC is expected to announce the winner of the
election on Monday.

Ward 4 unit 10: APC 250, PDP 154
Ward 5 unit 2: APC 135, PDP 136

KOLOKUMA/OPOKUMA LGA

I said it that all the results been circulated yesterday that PDP were leading were mete speculations,

With APC performing this great in the results stated on this thread, I have the strong believe that APC will win at last.

Southern ijaw as a whole is a stronghold of the APC candidate.

For the fact that both PDP and the APC candidates are not marketable, let the best candidate win.

I wish both candidates all the best of luck.
