The blue sea is also called nnenne Azumini. The town is in Ukwa LGA in Abia Stste. The significance of the blue sea; it was transit route for slave trading in Igbo Land and Nigeria in general. Humans from the igbo hinder lands were sold as slaves and transported through the blue sea to other part of the world. It was a trade link between the Igbos and south south states and in particular the Opobo and Bonny people who had early contacts with the Igbo through slave trade. The Azumini blue sea started from Imo River via Ogbo hill water side River via Blue sea via opobo via Bonny and finally the journey begins to the white man country. To visit Azumini blue sea, First get to Akwete, to Akwete divisional police HQ, to Obohia Ndoki town, to Ohambele and then get to Azumini .All the Towns are in Abia Stat. This is very important Historical slave trade site in Nigeria.
