Pain can be helpful in diagnosing a problem. Without pain, you might seriously hurt yourself without knowing it, or you might not realize you have a medical problem that needs treatment. Once you take care of the problem, pain usually goes away. However, sometimes pain goes on for weeks, months or even years. This is called chronic pain. Sometimes chronic pain is due to an ongoing cause, such as cancer or arthritis. Sometimes the cause is unknown.

Pain on the part of the body labelled 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9, could mean either (or more) of these conditions:

1:
- Gallstones,
- Stomach ulcer,
- pancreatitis

2:
- Stomach ulcer,
- heartburn/indigestion,
- pancreatitis
- Gallstones
- Epigastric hernia

3:
- Stomach ulcer
- Duodenal ulcer
- Biliary colic
- Pancreatitis

4:
- Kidney stones
- urine infection
- Constipation
- Lumbar hernia

5:
- Pancreatitis
- Early appendicitis
- Stomach ulcer
- Inflammatory bowel disease IBS
- Umbilical hernia

6:
- Kidney stones
- Diverticular disease
- constipation
- Inflammatory Bowel disease

7:
- Appendicitis
- Constipation
- Pelvic pain
- Inguinal hernia

8:
- Urine infection
- Appendicitis
- Diverticular disease
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Pelvic pain (Gynae)

9:
- Diverticular disease
- Pelvic pain
- Inguinal hernia (groin pain)

However, this is not an absolute diagnosis: a pain on any part of the body could mean a minor situation which could resolve with time. Your best bet would be to check into a good clinic for the right diagnosis
