a little bit confused, i need advice on which to opt for out of I.T or C.S, which is better and what does it take to be a major in either fields? ill appreciate your kind advice

Choose Csc if you have the passion for programming and computers.

I hold a B.eng in Computer engineering and Msc in info tech.
In simple terms. Information technology is basically the application of computers in offices, firms, industries etc.
While computer Sci is the study of the mathematics,and physics that defines the basic properties of computer programs.
Now to ur question. It depends largely on ur planned career progression. While most info tech degrees are terminal(i.e does not have Msc in Nigeria) except for National open university of Nigeria.
Computer Sci has Bsc,MSc, and even Phd.
So if u want to work in a firm as Computer admin or the likes, then go for info tech. If u want to end up in academics(such as a lecturer) go for comp Sci. This does not mean graduates of Computer Sci do not work in firm as computer persons.
Another difference is that computer Sci is broader than info tech in content.

Information Tech is a vital part of Com Science. See Computer Science as a channel for a better Information Tech. It is always better you start with Computer science so you can learn how to manipulate information easier.
