[b]The leaders and people of Okerenkoko, Gbaramatu
Kingdom, in Warri South-West Local Government Area,
Delta State, have given their total support to the
Economic and Finance Crimes Commission, EFCC, in its
probe of Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo,
over the alleged N13 billion paid by Federal Government
for the acquisition of the Maritime University land in the
community.
The leaders, who spoke through Chief Micheal Johnny,
yesterday in Warri, said now that Tompolo had admitted
that the alleged N13 billion was approved by the Federal
Executive Council, FEC and Bureau of Public
Procurement, BPP, Federal Ministry of Lands and Survey,
Federal Ministry of Transport, NIMASA, the EFCC should
ask Tompolo why Okerenkoko was paid only N360
million for the land.
They said Tompolo was not above the law and he should
tell Nigerians the whereabouts of the balance of over
N12billion, urging the EFCC to invite Tompolo and also
the immediate former ministers of the aforementioned
ministries and agency to explain their respective roles in
the transaction.
The leaders insisted that EFCC should prosecute those
involved in the diversion of the funds, recover same and
given for the development of the community, which was
razed down years.

How much is a plot of land in banana island?

Linda ikeji's mansion was between 450 to 600 million according to reports. And I'm sure it's built on over 1 plot of land. So if we remove the mansion from the land I'm very sure we'll be paying around 50 million for the land that mansion is built on. I hope you understand my analysis. If yes then tell me how a Land will cost 13 billion naira. Not in this naija.

Buhari should start with oil bloc cartel dominated by hausafulanikanuri since. After the civil war.
To me these are the real thieves.
They all own estates in Austria, London, Switzerland, Dubai, Finland and most luxury world. Arrest them and let's gats the billion of Dollars stolen since four decades ago till date.

The Bayeros,,, Atiku....Maidaribes...theophilus Danjumas....the Bellos from Niger state, IBB, Abacha Men...Dantatas.... Kaduna Mafias...Akilus... the Gremas....and lots of multibillionaires of crude oil bloc owners from the North.
These are the REAL thieves. Reaping where they did not sow. Collecting crude oil bloc that is not in their lands while impoverished the owners with heavily polluted land and waters.
Buhari should probe Tinubu and Ameachi too!

Leave these militants alone. It's their patrimony as enshrined in human right of indigenous people practice all over the world.

Bring back total sense of belonging. Equality before the King!
who are you to advise PMB on where to start his probe? Gej had his time,he acted d way he pleases him. So let PMB do d same,as long as it is within d confine of d law. Keep ur advice to urself.

U lot are just so shameless defending the impossible. Comparing plots in Lagos to those in delta is plain stupidity. Even at that that isn't the point.
Tompolo the self acclaimed freedom fighter stole from his people. He was given 13 billion naira and the thief only spent 360 million naira. Even his people want him investigated because it's obvious to them that Tompolo duped them. Tompolo will need to explain what he did with the balance of 12 billion plus still in his custody.
This is the core point and not the eediotic question of how much land cost.

People like you lack both business sense and sound business judgement.

A plot of land was once sold in my village for 50,000 per plot until a church needed around 5 plots at a go. The price went up to 150,000 within 2 weeks. Right now a plot of land goes for between 500,000 - 700,000 in my village with a space of 3 year. Whose fault is it? Do you know it is demand in conjunction that need and emotion that determine price.

Stop being emotional when you hear of high figures. Find out if it is worth it. This is wealthy people mentality. You need it to make money.

Tompolo people are not against the amount but against tompolo being in custody of the money than the village.

Have you gone to the place to know the cost of land and the land size.

5 Years ago I was shocked to see a plot of land sold for 50 million in uyo. Was uyo Lagos?

Bad as these corrupt cases that are been exposed are, I have my reservations. 1999 shouldn't have been a bad date to start probing from. Cos it all now looks like this is targeted at the last administration. If we know what OBJ and Year Adua did, GEJ may well be considered a saint. GEJ is been vilified daily, and those involved in Harlliburton are free to comment about others. Those who sponsored Buharis election, have attained sainthood.

And what stopped the previous administration from probing them with EFCC, SSS, NA, NP, ICPC within its arsenal? If you want to be sincere to yourself, the question you are supposed to ask is - 'what was GEJ fighting when he said he was using technology to fight corruption'? Any voice raised during this period were termed - 'victimization of minority' 'propaganda' etc.

But it is audible to the deaf and visible to the blind that those men have looted this country to the zero: no wonder, Iweala asserted that Nigeria would face serious monetary problems in May, 2015 even before the installation of PMB as President - https://www.google.com.ng/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=uRCWVperNsPA4AKJ357ICg&gws_rd=ssl#q=Nigeria+will+face+the+economy+challenge+till+the+end+of+2015-+okonjo+iweala

Don't worry, PMB will soon start probing right from the regime of Mungo Park and Lord Lugard.

Oya brs come explain ur own side ooooooooooo
mrBN:
Federal High Court in Abuja has issued for the arrest of Mr. Government ‘Tompolo” Ekpemupolo in connection to a multi-billion naira fraud involving land contracts for the construction of a Nigerian Maritime University (NMU).

It will be recalled that on December 10th, 2015 that Tompolo was wanted for questioning by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and had refused to honor their invitation claiming he was in court against the anti-corruption agency.

Tompolo, a former Niger Delta militant, had bank accounts belonging to him frozen by the EFCC. According to reports at the time, two companies linked to Tompolo, Mieka Divers Ltd and Global West Vessel Specialists Nigeria Ltd, had their accounts frozen by the EFCC because of their use in fraudulent exchanges.

Specifically, the EFCC wishes to question Tompolo about the illicit sale of N13 billion in land from him to the Federal Government. According to reports, the Federal Government wanted to construct the Nigerian Maritime University (NMU) and had diverted public funds through the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) to the militant.

Mr. Tompolo is reportedly hiding in the Niger Delta creeks; he rejects any insinuation that the land deal was fraudulent asking EFCC to contact former President Goodluck Jonathan for clarification.
