The Word of Life Bible Church, founded by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, is planning to build a multi-purpose complex and the pastor is shopping for N1 billion for the project to take off in Lagos.

The Lagos branch of the church has already drawn out the design of the multi-purpose complex, and is only waiting for the N1 billion to fund it. The Word of Life Bible Church, a.k.a. The Lord’s Chapel, is located at 8, Moloney Street, Lagos Island, and has over 300 members. Pastor Segun Buraimoh, who had worked in Shell Petroleum Development Corporation (SPDC) and Halliburton for over 12 years, is the pastor. The multi-purpose complex, tagged Project Eagle Crest, include a church auditorium, school, guest house, hospital and a shopping mall.

The breakdown shows that the church auditorium would cost N200 million; school, N150 million; guest house, N150 million; hospital, N300 million; shopping mall, N100 million and project supporting facilitates, N100 million. The Eagle Crest Hospital, when completed, is expected to be fully equipped with a surgery theatre, five labour wards, emergency room and pharmacy, among others. It is also expected that the proposed guest house will be equipped with state of the art furniture and kitchen equipment.

The Word of Life Bible church was founded by Oritsejafor in 1987, with its headquarters in Warri, Delta state, and has over 50,000 members worldwide. Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) described the church as one of the fastest growing churches in Nigeria. Dignitaries who attended the fund raising event, which took place at the weekend, include Bishop Oritsejafor and the deputy governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Tunde Lemo.
