A Ghanaian psychiatrist, Dr Awakame Julius of National Health Service, NHS in the North Essex Partnership Foundation Trust, United Kingdom, has been reportedly sacked after he advised a patient to get help from TB Joshua’s 24-hour church TV channel, Emmanuel TV because she might be possessed by demonic forces, UK Daily Mail reports.

Dr Julius, according to reports, recorded medical notes diagnosing the woman as having a history of ‘satanic ritual abuse’ and said her issues could not be addressed by regular treatment.

He, thereafter, told his unidentified patient to watch Emmanuel TV, adding that ‘neither psychiatry not psychology would be able to help because there were special forces at play.’

Nice one! This is why Africa is backward. Education/lack of it isn't the problem apparently, Here we have a fully educated psychiatrist suggesting such rubbish.

Wisdom doctor.

As a medical personnel myself,I know there are times you find patients who you really can't find what exactly is wrong with them even after running many tests but you need wisdom when dealing with such patients.

Wasn't malaria once a mystery disease? Africans no longer have any motivation for research and invention because of these foreign religions. Every unusual thing should be left to god and T.B Joshua. If god and the likes of T.B Joshua are the solution to our problems that would be better, But we are still backward despite having thousands of T.B Joshua.

Malaria was once a mystery disease and like many diseases, research has found solutions to them.
How do you explain a woman whose stomach starts to swell at 12am and the swelling disappears at the break of dawn and she has infertility issues even when other tests are normal? You think medicine has an explanation for that?
I know you don't believe in God but there are things medicine can't find answers to.I have been in medical science long enough to know.

@bolded,have you been following the news about Dasuki, the former NSA and how much money was embezzled and squandered?Tell me what TB Joshua or not has to do with that? Why can't Nigeria's electricity work after billions have been spent on it?
The backwardness of Africa has nothing to do with Church!
