Gianni Infantino's bid for being FIFA President received an enhancement on Monday after the Central American Football Partnership (UNCAF) recommended his campaign for globe soccer's top job.

A statement from UNCAF explained the regional federation -- which often represents seven votes with next month's FIFA presidential election - had opted to aid the UEFA general secretary.

"The Executive Committee connected with UNCAF... has decided to assist the candidacy (of) Mr. Gianni Infantino, " a brief statement around the UNCAF website stated about Monday.

The decision to pledge bloc support for Infantino was taken following a meeting in Panama Area on Monday.

UNCAF comprises Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Guatemala, Belize and Nicaragua.
