the Burj al Arab hotel is only 321metres tall and is old news.
first it is not the tallest hotel in the world as there are 2 hotel taller: the first is the Rose Tower hotel (333metres) also in Dubai finished but opening before the end of this yr and the second is is the Ryugyong hotel in N. Korea (not officially finished 330metres)
second this hotel is almost 10yrs old
third as for the price per night at the Burj Al Arab, it cost as little as 650Pounds per night.
although many people claim that it is a 7star hotel, it is really a 5star hotel and they (the Burj al arab hotel) dont claim that they are a 7star hotel.

i understand what you mean but if you'd check more clearer you would know that the star rating for hotel only goes up to 5.
there isnt/wasnt such thing as a 6 or 7 in hotel grading. its just a hype that hotel do to promote their establishment. there has been a controversial extension of star rating by other entity but it is still not recognize by all. its just like if someone open a restaurant and start to have his own restaurant rating different from the real Michelin rating.  THEY (the Burj) only claim to be a 5star hotel in real but that its a 7star in opulence.
the Townhouse Galleria in Milan is also billed as a 7star hotel.
there are plenty of hotels who now are "billed" as 6 stars(the Oriental Bangkok, palazzo versace Australia, Crowm Macau, Capella Singapore,  St Regis Shanghai etc)

but hey, it doesnt really matter how many stars it got because IT IS one of the best in the world.
