I feel London of 1930 was better than Nigeria of now. The level of planing and organisation around 1930 makes one wonder what is wrong with Nigeria. If London had this level of development in 1930 which in my opinion was better than what is present in Nigeria today then we have a long long way to go. I am not expecting Nigeria to go to the moon or build the fastest train in the world, but at least we should have a level of organisation in this country.

I just want to find out why Nigeria or should I say black are still underdeveloped. What's the problem. I mean what is so difficult in planing a city and sticking to the plan. London of 1930 had street lights with underground wiring system already in place. The roads were well built with sidewalks for pedestrians. In Nigeria, roads are built with no sidewalks, why haven't Nigerian civil enginners thought about adding side walks to road. Small issues like this speaks a lot about our Nation, Nigeria. Look at BVN or MTN sim registration. The crowd management is zero. If it were western countries, the crowd will be well controlled and stress free.

STFU!!!! London is just a city in the united kingdom. It is really unfair comparing London to the whole of Nigeria(a sovereign Country). I agree that our development has been slow-paced and Nigeria isn't where its supposed to be considering all the resources we have but we should really learn to appreciate our motherland because we are far better than a whole lot of countries. We shouldn't join outsiders in creating a negative image or stereotype about our country and people. Always learn to appreciate the beauty of Nigeria and her people which is found in our diversity, culture, institutions and religion. Nigeria is a beautiful country and would be Great again.

The only part of Nigeria that will really be structurally organized are the parts that have been abandoned, the world is not ending, so I believe these virgin places will be planned. As for Lagos and other overpopulated places, they will be remembered in fairly tales as cities that couldnt work due to overpopulation.

So there's nothing in the UK that we don't have here. What you can say is that in the UK they have these facilities more widely available than in Nigeria. But that's only a matter of time and development. They've had more time than us as an independent nation. Our own time will come too when every street will look like this. Relax.

It will take more than 50 years for any serious government to correct the anomalies associated with irregular overflow of discordant houses in Ibadan, and Nigeria at large
