Basically, what the British wanted was to to install elitist northern oligarchs as a conduit for further exploitation of Nigeria when they leave. Just like a king preparing his son/prince for leadership roles in case he die. So, as you can see, education was improved in that part of the country neglecting other region. And, you may ask; why?. The answer is because, of all ethnic groups in Nigeria the British found the north ''submissive and easy to control''. These are not my words, but words from an actual report sent to the queen in London by colonial officers.

However, generally, the British, French and all other colonial forces weren't interested in education in Africa. All they wanted was to teach their languages in schools and make it a core part of our curriculum. This way, we (Africa) will perpetually be their colonies and under their intellectual control. This explains why we have English and French as compulsory subjects all over African schools, even at the detriment of our native languages.

What is very shocking is that after 400 years of slavery and 50 years of colonialism, African governments and the entire African people have not realized the damaging effect of neglect of our native languages in school. Instead of requiring ''credit'' in our native languages, we keep doing the bidding of our oppressors by placing priority in English and French in our schools. Something Asian countries realized was a mistake and corrected same in the 80's. And since they did that development came their way.

As a proof, Tony Blair have been to Nigeria 3 times since Buhari took over power. Do you know what he's scheming?. A return to some sort of slavery. After 50 years of colonialism, here he is in the midst of Nigerian governors forum re-branding colonialism in their own eyes!.

The brainwashing of African elites and elites of other third world countries is the last stage of mental slavery.

To Nigerian governors he's there to give advise and moral support, but for Tony Blair he's there on the queen's mission to re-brand colonialism. Since he left office this's one thing he've been doing, junketing from one third world country to another for their evil long term agenda to return Africa to slavery.

No wonder the only African white man loves is a foolish African. So, he enjoy the status quo.

Please don't forget that there are three different tribes in Nigeria. Without a central language (English), communication will be difficult, and you can't make one tribe's language the central one without raising eyebrows.
