Don't be fooled by Buhari's theatrics and grandstanding. The incompetent cattle-rustler is only trying to save face by scape-goating someone else. Did he not append his signature on that fraudulent document before presenting it to the National Assembly? Did you Zombies not hail the said budget of corruption as the best thing that happened to Nigeria since independence?

Unfortunately for you people, Nigerians are smarter now and you all got busted.

Why this so much hate and anger? Did he killed the former president GEJ?

A lot of these ardent Buhari supporters reason in a way that suggests some sort of mental pathology. Every little bit of news is a chance to extol the virtues of their great messiah.

Take this news for instance. If budget padding was against Buhari's wishes, what actual steps have been taken to remove all those items from the budget? Nothing stops Buhari from redoing that budget to expunge the unjustifiable expenses.

Instead what you get is an avalanche of hand wringing and finger pointing. This is a man who is supposedly able to restore electricity by the sheer force of his "body language" suddenly rendered incapable of stopping the FG from paying rent on Aso Rock.

Wailing in progress. Why don't you wait and see if some of the budget line items will not be amended in line with the intention of the government?

What Buhari just did is what is expected of any reasonable leader or boss. PMB did not write the budget himself, he appointed people to write and review the budget which he presented. When something goes awfully wrong like it just did, he takes the blame and the onus is on him to take disciplinary action on whoever he thinks is the weakest link that may have brought him such an embarrassment. Once again, that is what is expected of a leader.
My problem is with those who are celebrating Buhari's reactionary style of governance as an act of good leadership. If Buhari had been thorough, he wouldn't have subjected himself to this embarrassment of international proportions.

Nice one.
This administration has been benovalent enough to tolerate and retain so many incompetent buffons that served in the past incompetent government. They should be rooted out if they can't stand to the quest of effective governance as commandeered by the present government.

I still dey look emefiele with one eye; dude ought to go soonest if things don't improve under his watch.

Sit up or get shipped, this is not the past docile administration.

The budget is guided by your manifesto and policy. The idea that civil servants are in anyway responsible for this budget is either pure lies or pure incompetence. You choose!

Civil servants are there to implement your policy and not plan nor define your government. It is shameless for APC to blame civil servants for putting together inaccurate budget, civil servants are not supposed to be writing your budget in the first place!

You clearly have no idea how government works.

The executive sets out the policy thrust, the budget office sets out the premises and high level assumptions while the civil servants draft the proposals and budget to meet the policy objectives.

Please do some research before you embarrass yourself further biko

Everybody makes mistakes, but what matters sometimes is how a person reacts to his/her mistakes.

Thank God we now have a leader who will react appropriately when things go wrong. I can bet my life that if this whole budget saga had happened under the last administration, GEJ's first reaction (instead of calling for an investigation) would have been to blame 'opposition' for trying to rubbish/bring down his administration and after it all, nobody would have lost a job (immigration recruitment tragedy still fresh on my mind).

Hush it. We haven't forgotten this

Boko Haram is embarrassing my administration: Buhari

Buhari said on Sunday said that Boko Haram sect was embarrassing his government with their renewed onslaught against the people of the north-east.

He spoke through a statement by his senior special assistant on media and publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.

The fight against boko haram is an ongoing fight, the govt isnt folding its arms and blaming BH of embarrassing it. The example I gave was about a government official (abba moro) being involved in a questionable scandal, and instead of the FG then to simply call for an investigation as an immediate reaction, GEJ in his paranoia typically took it personal and blamed those calling for 'investigation' as opposition elements trying to embarrass him. Another example is the Sanusi $49bn scandal, when the letter leaked, the simple reaction any typical leader would have just been to say "I will investigate." But instead we get reactions like, "it's a lie, they are just trying to embarrass me"

Once again, these situations are not comparable.
