Some say its been over two years they tasted the sweetness of light. While asking some of the protesters, they said the hike in the electricity is unreasonable and uncalled for which eventually made the resident to troop out en mass for a peaceful protest along the ever busy oba adesida - oyemekun road.

Wow...2 years! Can someone living in Akure testify if this is true? This is simply unacceptable for a state capital.

Same thing we are going through in Satellite Town, oriade, Lagos. The worst is that here nobody cares both tenants and landlords. People are suffering and smiling here. They only flash the light for some minutes whenever they are sharing bills or coming for disconnection. So terrible
Re: No Electricity Protest Going On In Akure City, Ondo State (Photos) by tempest01(m): 4:06pm On Feb 16, 2016
Don't worry, government will increase the bills for light you have not seen, so that you'll see light later...while they waste money and budget millions for trivialities.

The light is akure is so so poor. I have to run back to IB just to spend two days during the Christmas break last year. It has grown worst and I am always afraid to go there again due to the overbearing outage

angry 2 years! And you people still voted for PDP? Well, your party was (and is) only concerned about electoral violence and sharing dollars. Nothing more.

Don't worry my people, the party of the drunk crusader of corruption has been booted. There is hope now.
