Summary of Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation and administration of Vision 2020: Youth Empowerment and Restoration Initiative.
Details of Responsibilities

Conduct research on youth empowerment initiatives.
Coordinate a community relations campaign to promote youth initiative programs.
Prioritize, plan and execute projects that promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics activities to support local youths.
Develop and implement the project life cycle development plan.
Devise plans to educate the wider community on the power of youths as agents of change.
Liaise with organizations that represent youth to determine needs and interests of youth.
Share and publish information on current projects through multiple media and communication outlets.
Research funding sources and implement initiatives to raise funds for projects.
Prepare overall Vision 2020 project plan and activities.
Prepare detailed project budget and contingency plans.
Prepare quarterly project reports on overall program effectiveness for board of trustees.
Conduct research on a variety of state, regional and local opportunities for the participants to the program.
Advocate for support from organisations, schools, government agencies, international NGOs.
Document all project events and milestones.
Ensure that all programs and activities are implemented according to relevant legislation, policies and procedures.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management or related field preferred

Required Skills & Experience

4-5 Years post qualification work experience on administering youth programs

Good interpersonal skills

Excellent project management skills;

Strong analytical and information gathering skills,

Proven skills in networking and relationship building

Excellent verbal, presentation and listening skills

Effective written communications skills

Basic counseling skills

Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet, word-processing, graphics and website development programs at a highly proficient level;

Willingness to travel
