Edo is an inland state in southern Nigeria. Its capital is
Benin City. It is bounded in the north and east by Kogi
State, in the south by Delta State and in the west by Ondo
State.

Edo State consists of eighteen (18) Local Government
Areas . They are:
Akoko-Edo

Egor

Esan Central

Esan North-East

Esan South-East

Esan West

Etsako Central

Etsako East

Etsako West

Igueben

Ikpoba-Okha

Oredo

Orhionmwon

Ovia North-West

Ovia North-East

DEMOGRAPHY

English is the official language of the state. The major
tribal languages spoken in the state are:

Igarra

Edo

Esan, and

Okpamheri .

EDO state govt doesn't pay but local govts pays 5k Monthly.
Some public schools pays #2500 monthly while some pay
below. Some private schools pays #2500 monthly while maximum payment could be 7k.
All payments depends on the population of such sch;the
higher the payment of sch fees, the higher d payment and
vice versa.

COST OF LIVING:
Cost of living in Edo I̲̅s cheap so long you re not in benin the capital city which is peculiar to every capital city life there I̲̅s on d high side. And then another reason Edo I̲̅s a better choice I̲̅s its proximity to the east, west and north, so if you live in Lagos its close to home and if you live in Abuja or Onitsha its close to home.


ELECTRICITY:

I heard it is not that good, I was told Right now, they are getting less than 4 hours a day(someone should confirm that)

Nice fact Outyjoice...I reside in Benin City and I can boldly tell you that all or most parts of Benin City enjoy btw 10-13hours electricity daily or more and for the villages and rural areas, some enjoy as much as 15hours while some dont.
