...Dr. Iweala was corrupted by happenings around her while serving Mr. Jonathan. One can't compare the skills in both Bsc and MSc/PhD world.

Nigeria's foreign reserve is consumed by

1 politicians stealing money or spending on luxury
2 Business elites lodging money in offshore banks
3 foreign companies and individuals repatriating their profits( airlines , telecoms etc)
4 local companies importing raw materials that can be sourced locally
5 Traders importing stuff that can be manufactured locally
6 luxuries by the middle class and upper classes

What does pat utomi have to say about a sound business proposal from say, an intelligent nairalander ,who wants to start a tooth pick manufacturing business and the person offers the bank a stake in the business.

Would devaluation make the Nigerian banks give that person a loan?
Nope , they would rather give a loan for importation .
All the devaluation talks does not deal with the real problem . The structural problem with the economy or non economy.
That economy works for a few ( for whom utomi is carrying a bag ) but has never worked for 99% of Nigerians .
Even if oil prices goes to $500, the wealth of the elites and the people lucky to have a job , will increase while the masses will continue to suffer .
If government policy is built on creating billionaires and not a middle class , nothing will come good .
