The two important terms here you must understand and know the difference as you are embarking on buying your first property or into real estate investment
are
government ACQUISITION land and government COMMITTED land.

Government acquisition land is a land acquired by the government for its own purpose and future used

How ever, Omo nile as popularly known in lagos, illegally take possession of the land and sold such land to an individuals without gazette, certificate of occupancy ( CofO) etc and an individual ignorantly bought it without proper research or verification. The good news here is that there is grace for an individual to legally own such land through process known as RATIFICATION or REGULATIONS in Lagos state.

On the other hand, government committed land is a land government already has plan for and nothing on earth will make government alter his mind to regularized such land or give up the land.
