Depending on the charging / power requirements of the tricycle, one can have charging stations for recharging the batteries.

How long can a full charge run the tricycle on average & what is the average battery lifespan are pertinent questions.

Yeah, you are right, that's the main question which can affects our choice.

6~10 hrs charging for 100~120 km, enough for short range.

And you can charge at night, and home, no special requirement for charging, and run at day time.

As to the battery, it can be used for three years, and if charging at right way, it can be even longer.

Comparing with the petrol type, the electric type can save much, and more convenient.

I believe it will. But there must be plan to have solar powered / generator powered recharging stations at strategic locations due to our inconsistent grid power supply thereby raising capital costs significantly.

If it's for short journey, one night charging is enough for day's running 100~120 km. cheesy

Yeah, understand, but when you need it, while no such things home, still need to purchase Abroad.

At the same time, why not bring in new things, and promote development of local economy.
