loosing this much is either as a result of his negligence or poor technical-know-how.. didnt he notice or see the birds ameliorate? oh,i guess he's a banker that ventured into agriculture without basic knowledge....loosing birds hurts..

I doubt if it's heat that killed them my mum operates her poultry with fair ventilation since they were a day old and no they ate about 7 weeks old. some died tho but heat was not the cause.

I just came back after a day of hustling hard under the sun to meet people trooping into my neighbours compound. I didn't really know what was happening until I saw them coming back, holding dead chickens. Alas, the excessive heat ability name hot weather condition had succeeded in killing over 200 birds (layers) from them man's flock and people where buying them at N250 each.

All poultry farmers should take note and provide proper ventilation for their birds before this becomes a national disaster.

I decided to leave it in d fridge to get chilled. But then i just remembered i wil consume more water if it is cold than if it is warm and cosidering d recent high cost of pure water. This is why battery cage system is still preferable but if u can't afford it and still have to use dip litter then u have to buy ice blocks and put in their water also wet the birds by 10-11am during the course of this heat period else ur poultry could end up like this one.

Heart felt sorry to this farmer.
