I planted them this morning after preparing the tyres yesterday as I had no cement bag,I will be updating it as it grows. I pray it will grow from little to so much as I have no power of my own. Am trusting my first Agric venture in the hands of God.

Wet and mulch by putting leaves on those tire. The sun might dry out the soil before the seeds get enough moisture to activate growth, thereby taking Ionger time for it to sprout. It takes ten days for ugu to sprout though.. Just be a bit patient.

This is nice. I have space in my compound and I like planting so much.

Please where did you get the seed from? Can I get it from these market women in any of the markets around me?

God bless your small farm.

@Faber and solution, the land is typical of lagos land(waterlogged) and pple start filling when they want to build,so this one neighbours have started using it for mini dustbin which makes it useless for planting, now I devised a means of warning as verbal warning proved abortive. I got the tyres filled them with loamy soil and little water in the evening then planted the seeds in the morning next day, each tyre has 6seeds planted 2at a spot in a triangular form so far 4 germinated on each tyre, meanwhile am using grass as my manure no fertilizer.

The joy of harvesting from your garden is overwhelming as l can very much relate to it. Though born and raised in Lagos we rarely bought Ugu, bitterleaf and Oha because we had them grown in our compound. We even sold Oha regularly to igbo women that sold soup condiments.

Now you talk about corn, l am missing the local pear! cheesy

Some Igbo women selling soup ingredient do sell the seeds.

If you approach them, they can help you get the whole.

That's what it looks like.

OP, you improvised well! wink

Oga Seun thanks for this reminder. My tenants practically made the place a refuse dumping place(after several warning) will still go back to it if I get a good portion, currently filling the place with sand and growing my poultry on the other hand
