GOVERNOR OKOROCHA, THE GOVERNMENT & PEOPLE OF THE STATE WELCOME WIVES OF THE 17 SOUTHERN GOVERNORS

-AS THEY STORM OWERRI ON THURSDAY, MARCH 3, 2016 FOR A 2-DAY MEETING

 

This is to inform the people of the state in particular and all those who have undiluted love for progress that the wives of the Governors of the seventeen states in the Southern part of this great nation will be arriving Owerri, the state capital on Thursday, March 3, 2016 for a two-day summit.

 

The State Governors whose wives are expected to attend the convivial parley in Owerri are those of Abia, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Osun, Rivers and of course, Imo.

 

And it is also noteworthy that the Owerri venture is the inaugural meeting of these first ladies from the Southern states of the country since January 2016 when they had their election and patriotically elected Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha to be the first among equals.

 

It is therefore to the glory of God that the host, and indeed, the wife of the Governor, Her Excellency, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha is hosting her colleagues in her capacity as the chairperson of the seventeen Governors wives in the Southern part of the country having been elected to that effect.

 

During the meeting in Owerri, the first ladies would discuss issues that would add tremendous values to the progress of their respective states, the Southern part of the country and the nation generally.

 

It should also be noted that this is the first time in the history of the country that the wives of the governors of the seventeen states in the Southern part of the country would be coming together to brainstorm, in the overall interest of the area and the nation at large.

 

The wife of the President Hajia Mohammadu Buhari had also given nod to the arrangement in the spirit of the new dispensation of taking power back to the grassroot for good.

 

Against the backdrop of all these, the governor of the state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, the Rescue Mission Government in the state and all the good people of the state with one voice, sincerely welcome the seventeen first ladies to Imo State as they arrive the state for the 2-day convocation.

 

It is the fervent prayer of the governor, the government and people of the state that the good Lord grants these exemplary ladies his journey mercy while they make their trips to Owerri, and also when they will be going. Their stay in Owerri would also leave juicy stories on their lips.

 

And may their coming be a blessing to the people of Imo State, to the people of the seventeen states in the South, and to all Nigerians of goodwill both at home and in diaspora.

Imo State is set to host the maiden edition of Southern Governors Wives' Forum under the Chairperson Ugo Nneomanwereugwu Nkechi Rochas Okorocha, Wife of the Governor of Imo State.

The meeting is slated to kickoff on Thursday 3rd to Friday 4th of March, 2016.

As expected, Imolites I'm their usual friendliness are happy to welcome her Excellencies to Imo State the Eastern Heartland.

The reason for this all important meeting is centered on how they will assist their husbands in their various States to deliver dividend of democracy to the people.

In Imo State, her excellency, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, Wife of the Executive Governor of Imo State and also the Chairperson of the forum has track record of humanitarian programs especially on Widows and the less privileged in the society. It is on record that through her," She Needs A Roof Program (SNARP) she has provided shelter for more than 200 indigent Widows and the less privileged in the society, a gesture worthy of emulation.

We wish them successful deliberations.

Go to Ebonyi and see what Umuahi is doing, I don't want to call Ikpeazu because Abia State is viable state with lots of investments and opportunities but am talking about Ebonyi.

Ebonyi Rice have flooded the whole market in East even Anambra rice is struggling to stay in the local rice war.
I saw a man who was going to lagos with two bags of Ebonyi rice, this man is a rice man by mere looking his ride.

Rochas is virtually everywhere hosting those that are not suppose to be hosted.

Please what development will governors wives bring to Imo State if not draining the purse of the host state.
