Late Hajiya Fadimatu Umaru Ganduje, mother of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje -was laid to rest on Friday (today) at a funeral event graced by dignitaries in the likes of gov Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Kano State deputy Governor; Prof. Hafiz Abubakar, Minister of interior; Abdurrahman Dambazau, Minister of Water Resources; Engr. Sulaiman Husaini Adamu, the Emir of Kano; Muhammadu Sanusi II who led the funeral prayer and others.

She was laid to rest at Ganduje town, Dawakin Tofa local government area of the state.

Hajiya Fadimatu Umaru Ganduje died today by 7am today, Friday, in Kano. Aged 95, the deceased is survived by six children among whom are Alhaji Sama'ila Umar, the Madaki of Ganduje, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Gov. of Kano State and Alhaji Hussaini Umar Ganduje, the Executive Secretary of Kano State Teachers Board among others.
