I just got this info about MTN/JUMIA Entrepreneurship Challenge 2016,

The MTN Entrepreneurship Challenge 2016 powered by Jumia was born out of the desire to contribute to building a stronger and more sustainable business environment in Africa and to boost the entrepreneurial spirit of Africa.

It is a Pan-African challenge and invites teams from across the continent to compete for over $75 000 in prizes, including investment, cash and in-kind awards. Teams will have the opportunity to meet and network with early stage investors, experienced business professionals and successful entrepreneurs who will serve as judges.

So all those trying to prove dem sabi code pass other people, instead of wasting time starting 20 pages of i sabi pass u, u nr sabi pass me, jump in here and prove yrself.

That is a businness competition, not a coding competition. Not all coders are interested in running around looking for investors, writing business plans, and making user-friendly GUIs. And business-minded individuals (for whom this competition is meant), rarely do competitive, or serious coding either.

Its important not to mix up both.

For those that code applications to translate to the market this is for you, no need to argue if u know yr app can translate to a sell able application relevant for the African market this is for u, enter and register, the competition is a team job, a coder can team up with a business oriented person to sell the app.
