I got the mail below from union bank. it seems the bank is waking up from slumber. Dear Customer, Reporting and blocking a lost, stolen or compromised debit card is now quicker and easier! Simply send ‘BLOCKCARD <space> your account number’ e.g. ‘BLOCKCARD 0123456789’ to 20123 from your mobile phone. Please note that this will only stop card related transactions including ATM, POS, UnionMobile and other card based transactions on the internet. You can continue to shop online and perform other online banking transactions. Alternatively, you can report your card lost or stolen at any of our branches.
