I wouldn't be surprised if they reperate black people down the line after they have really came to hate each other and don't want to be bothered with working together to build that empire. Then they can really say , "see we reperated those niggers and they still accomplished nothing" They are probably waiting for the right time to make that political gesture and when they do, it won't be any type of reparation worth hollering about.

All of what is taking place against black people is a global set up.

i don't want to sound rude in any manner but ur last post here is nothing to go by.
the blacks(africans) have got all the blessings they need from God and would not be needing any further gifts from the so called white to fix africa.
go through fact files and begin to appreciate God in his gift of mineral resources of different values and importance. use nigeria as a case study. what kind of mineral resources that we lack. talk about human resources, they are there as in physical and intellectual.
aperthied is the cheating of the blacks by the whites but what is the cheating of blacks by blacks(politics).
it is time we face the truth as the bible make it clear is that only the truth will set us free.
we are the achitects of our own problems. the charles taylors, the ibbs, the abachas and a very long lists of other are all africans and who derieve joy in joining the list of world millonaires why their people die in penury.
take a look at uae(dubai) a dry land with little oil which is their major mineral resources but the citizens are on permanent salaries working or not working with all the basic things of life made available to the citizenry.

the issue here is that our so called rulers have looked away from the problems of the masses pursing their personal interests and we have decided to decieve ourselves with the wites this, the whites that.
God has blessed us in all areas but we have refused to help our selves waiting for compensation from the whites. please how much compensation are we looking upto here and what is the guarantee that what happened to the funds recovered from abacha's loot will not happen to it.

It's a real pity that some people on this thread, including the creator sango, have no faith in their fellow country men.Yes Nigeria's had bad times and we still have a lot of problems like the high unemployment rate,corruption,etc due to the greed, lack of planning and direction of our former leaders.But there are also a lot of Nigerian men and women that have proven themselves to be excellent leaders in both the public and private sectors. There're also thousands of Nigerians that are currently working so hard to develop the country (unlike the fools i mentioned earlier angry), and their actions are slowly paying off.For example:

- The country's economy is witnessing a steady growth of about 7%.

- We have arguably the fastest growing financial and telecommunications sectors in Africa.

-In the past years, Nigeria was rated among the top 10 most corrupt countries in the world. But now, it is presently not even among the 20 countries on Transarency International's list (doubt it? check their website). It proves that we are on the right track.

-We're presently listed among the 11 economies to watch out for.

We're still not out of the woods yet, but at least we've begun to get things right (including our leaders) and we'll make it.

An European leader, thats bullshit, the problem most African or even Nigerians are having is that we take or think these people are so intelligent not knowing that we are even and far better than them, when they are in our country our young girls pursue them, thinking they are GOD SENT. How do they live in their own country?
An European expatriate working in Nigerian will be given a good accommodation, well paid, insurance, and an air ticket to his country annually, one question.

Are they treated these way in their country, never. I know of a European man in Nigeria that alway fight with his gatemen and gardener, even kicking them(these are married men o) but can he do these in his country.

What you did post is a good topic that need to be dealt with, why dont you asked yourself HOW DO I MAKE NIGERIA GREAT, HOW DO I MAKE MY FELLOW COUNTRY PEOPLE GET THE THINKING THAT WHITE ARE VERY INTELLIGENT.
Some might not now or understand what am talking about, till when you´ve actually sees the white man land and see how the present generation are fooling around.

God forbid me get ruled by an European Leader. Do u know what you are asking for. Might as well submit yourself to rape. Just because their countries are on a better scale to ours does not mean we cannot reach and exceed theirs. There country is where its at because they were developing their countries using other people as slaves. Yeah yeah its the whole slave theory again, but imagine if the roles were reversed so Africans captured whites and forced them to build tunnels and toil large expanses of land to provide food and cash crops and Africans spent the rest of their free time developing science and technology. DOn't you think the story would be different. Look at Egypt and the Israelites till God set them free. Same principle with housemaid/nanny and Employer. You employ them to do stuff while you do better stuff. Now we are left alone and must rebuild though its taking us a while, but we shall surely get there. There is no way I would have a European ruling Nigeria. I personally would run a coup like it was the 70s/80s. Nothing do me

Hello to my new friends in Nigeria. My name is Richard N. Andrews, I am a white middle aged, 47 year old man from the United States, I am white, born to to wonderful parents back in 1961, durring a very turbulent time in the United States. At that time, we that is to say, our nation, was facing change with regard to racism, that had been comming to a head for a very long time, and having grown up during these times I can tell you that I was blamed by many for what was not my fault, for I was as much a slave to it as my African American brothers were. In other words, I could no more end the racism that existed any easier than could my black friends who were suffering from it, without the leadership which rose to the occasion from the likes of those such as my parents generation, and the parents of my black friends. In other words, change takes leadership and participation by the masses, and without either or both of these elements, change can not happen on a massive system wide scale which is necessary for such action to truly be successful and long lasting. For example, it took the leadership of Dr. Martin Luther King to raise the problem to it's proper priority, and the refusal of Rosa Parks to give up her seat in a "white" seating area of a bus without Them, the problems of blacks not recieving bank loans, or having to use a "Colored" Restroom would still be talked about around the dinner table by whites and blacks alike, kind of like a discussion about changing tax policy is now. As for the necessity for all parties to participate, it was necessary for the Kennedy Administration, and later the Johnson administration to enforce the rules that already existed under our Constitution, for those issues of Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, those ideals though they were written a long time ago during the founding of our Country, they wouldn't have produced the change by themselves, but were a great conduit, or channel for it when the people, black and white aligning together, not unlike scientists and engineers working for the creation of a complex machine, like the building of the Apollo Saturn V Rocket and the lunar lander which carried men to the moon. A free and prosperous people build a powerful government of the people, by the people and for the people, by working together and hammering out the difficulties of what is fair and what isn't, of what makes it work, and what doesn't, but in the end, it's a collective action which either produces a kingdom, or a wasteland. I was touched by the frustration that you all share in your experience of a stagnent, stifled, ineffective neive and otherwise impotent government. The answers to your problems could take many hours to cover many subjects related to the lack of leadership, or if you like the poor leadership that your government is performing at this time, but the short answer to the narrative which started this conversation is this: No, it is not a need for a white Man or the leadership of a European, or a SouthAfrican, or whatever, the answer lies outside of Race, and it doesn't belong to another country, it is not a man thing or a woman thing, it is not even a question of power, for the difficulties are yours (All Nigerians) uniquely and collectively. I believe it's a spiritual answer, and I am not saying it's Christian over Islamic ideas either, because the answer must come form the joint effort of the spirit of all your people. Now, that being said, the United States of America was firmly and soundly established on God's principals which were most divinely recorded for us by the scriptures of the Lord Christ Jesus, however despite the many differences which divide one faith from another, the platform on which the United States of America stands is squarely based upon what I believe to be the greatest message from the bible and that is when God gave us the definition of the Holy Spirit being comprized of 9 fruits of the spirit, which are Love, Joy, Peace, Sacrifice, Goodness, Gentleness, Kindness, Faithfulness, and Temperance. Against which there is no law. These fruits of the spirit are given and defined in Scripture Galations chapter 5 verse 22. These are the guiding principles which drove our forefathers to write such wonderful words like these from our Declaration of Independance: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security etc, So I tell you, it is wisdom given of God that you should look to for inspiration, but knowing that governments can go off course, it's also important that you establish a basis for civil rights within your governments constitution which can NOT be changed to cover things like an individuals right to vote, and the right to a basic level of education, and to bear arms, or the freedom to speak your mind, or the freedom of religion and so forth so that no matter what wrongs are committed by your leaders, you will have a legal recourse for grievances or injuries when your rights have been infringed upon or taken away from any of you. I hope this will help you with thoughts of change for your future, but you must all work together for these changes. This forum is the kind of medium you need to stimulate discussion, you should form groups and have meetings to generate ideas to place before your government and demand in a peaceful way that these ideas begin to take hold flourish, and grow, and know that every journey begins with the first step, and have faith in God and in yourselves that you can accomplish these things for the greater good. we need the white man to invent an injectable medicine that will change the mentality of the average nigerian. the mentality is the problem not the leaders.people cannot queue but always struggle in lines. the first disposition in any conflict is FIGHT/assault. jobs are never given on merit, in fact, your interviewers can become insecure about ur cv and turn u down just for this. country with highest assasination rates of politicians driven by greed of oil money - politics is seen as an opportunity to swindle. very abusive people and find it hard to mind themselves & egoccentric- TALK OF MENTALITY CHANGE!!!even if no b white man - collin powell or obama - pls we need results. maybe we should have exchange visas for nigerians to visit europe and north america and also bring europeans. yar adua - take note.

It is sad to read that you have such a problem with killing not just of each other, but also of your leaders. It is my belief that the greatest gift that Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King gave all our people, that is to say all the people of the world, not just the blacks of America, or the blacks and whites of America, but all people everywhere, for change through peaceful means is the best kind of change. It is sad to note that such change was attempted and seemed at the onset to fail at Tienanmen Square but yet though so many died in that demonstration by the people, it can not die when that moment goes on in the hearts of millions, and even today and into the future will eventually cause freedom to grow in China. Even though those some 2000 people lost their lives during that peaceful protest, the changes which have come to China can not be measured, but when you step back and look at the incredible growth of infrastructure, and technical industrial change, and the building of dams, and cars and televisions and plastics and machinery and the increasing output of food, the standard of living for the average Chinaman has without doubt risen.

I wish to make a couple of suggestions so your forum might gain ground here, and actually begin to forge beneficial change for all Nigerians. 1st, I think this page has done it's job, and it has brought many of you to the surface, and although I think the original heading was absurd in it's beginning, it did do this, it got you all stired up enough to take a moment and consider the question of "What is Wrong With Nigeria" So before you all disapear here and go back into the woodwork, you need to form a club here for Nigeria's Future. Make a list of the biggest problems you all have, and only you can do this. List your problems, then name your club, and all of you together brainstorm and suggest solutions for these most important problems. Then when you come to a consensus, you all should plan for a day to celebrate your union for change and peacefully bring these suggestions to your Government. If you do this peaceably and with love for all your neighbors, in other words ask for these changes in such a way that will benefit all your people, I know you can make it happen.

1 Get Organized
2 vote for officers, ie, a President, a Secretary (to record the minutes) a treasurer to collect funds for your events or parties or club operations
3. vote for a name for your club ie, " The Nigerian Reform Club" NRC or whatever
4 then list your problems
5 ie, crime in the streets, or lack of food, or lack of employment, whatever
6 brainstorm for ideas, maybe planting rice, or building storage silos, or maybe putting lights in the streets, etc,
7 after a while, you will find good solutions, then when the time is right take them to your government, but learn from those who have come before you, like Gandhi, and Lincoln and Dr. Martin Luther King and maybe some leaders or philosophers from Nigeria that I don't know of maybe Kuti or whoever.

These are the ways that things will happen, only when you begin to work at it will you actually begin to forge your future in the direction that you want, otherwise you will by your own neglect be subject to and by the ideas of others who have risen to the occasion. I kind of wish I were there, because it would feel like a worthy cause, one that I have not done here except at the ballot box every couple years. I only ask that you encourage everyone to speak those who are most angry and emotional and those who have a cooler head, but amonst all of you, truth and justice will prevail, because it must be right for each of you, or it will be wrong for all of you. Take a look at the Governments around the world and see what others have written and chosen to lead them, and don't forget those basic rights which I wrote about to you earyer. A Bill of Rights should be among your highest priority, because without those, you will be wasting time arguing over details and missing those most important points.
