A WRITER WITHOUT A READER Maybe I was born to the wrong generation Maybe I came at the crash of civilization Born with a gift rare but useless Putting in my best, yet so pointless I am a writer without a reader A side without the other Shall I then write for just myself? Or shall I stare the clock from twelve to twelve? Oh! I get it, my purpose, and my gift It’s meant to last across time’s rift So I shall wait till the reader comes forth My life or my death, my words shall be sought |

If I could choose where to go in my sleep I would leave the windows open, and creep To the world I have built for you Beyond the golden sands and ocean blue You alien land between heaven and earth And watch over you with every sleep I get |
