Mine is so so grave to the extent that i don't know the way forward anymore. The major problem is that i have never done anything to make money with the exception of working as an ad-hoc staff for INEC in my service year.
I have been over reliant on ma parents d whole of ma life, having brainwashed myself with the idea that it was not yet time for me to start hustling; so bad that i cant even boast of a vocational skill.
I hold a masters degree (mathematics) and i have got nothing to show for it. Sitting at home all day or going in search of jobs without a positive result s fvcking terrifying.
I really need to do something (anything legal), no matter how small. Just need to learn how to survive. Need advice on how to embark on something that will bring about a positive change. Help a brother out. Thanks ya'll

ur so on point!!! used to be my parent's pet but things went pretty bad and........ hey my entrepreneurial skill is wats saving us now.

D year i finish my secondry school ,i apply for company work, no show .i decided to learn hand skils(plumbing installation)why watin for admission ,even wen am learning it, i stil got a contract from a clients.guess wot am a (fresher) i didnt lack moni in school.first work i got i charge 20k i work for 2days.

During my years in sch I worked in a fastffood as a sales girl, wasn't easy @ all cos once it was 2@pm I ll rush out of class straight to work. Wasn't easy changing shifts jux to meet up wt lectures. Bt @ d end still came out wt a very good result, tho d youngest in my family I neva found it comfortable depending on anybody, had everything I wnted, sometimes my family culdnt jux understand y I had to wrk n stress myself, my frds said I behaved like an ada instead but d end it paid. Its really good wen one has dt mentality of being alone(alone doesn't mean u hv to feel dejected, no I dnt mean dt. Alone dt u owe it to urself to be responsible, make d best of ur time, live a good life n kw dt if u mess up u hv urself to blame) helps u to become more responsible in life, dnt hv to depend on anybody expt God.

My brother there over 30million Nigerian school kids. With your masters degree in mathematics you can write a mathematics test book. Your focus should not be to write a book but to write a book that will be so simplified so that even mathematics deficient students can read your book and understand it.

I love your humble beginning bro, same for me while I was still in school, I was running a business along with my academics. A friend told me that I will kill myself but I kept quiet. Am a fresh graduate waiting for service but I must confess that am an employer of Labour, having people older than me under my payroll. It good to acquire skills while still in school cos that skill may be your saving grace when you are down financially. My advice to ladies... Do not depend too much on guys for a living. I said so cos I have a female friend who have 18 vocational skills before she graduates from the University. I will try and share her works on nairaland soon. This could be an inspiration to females. Is it by learning skills alone? The children of the rich are in CBN,NNPC,NAFDAC,NIMASA e.t .c but the children of the poor needs learn how to make soap,sew clothes,barbing,hair dressing,plumbering,campetering. wtf!! Graduate? I refuse to join the bandwagon.

yes, u absolutely can. When u enrol for these courses in an ict firm, all they do, is to give a push in the right direction. If u were in ph, and u owned a laptop, I would have given some help, and a push in the right direction by the grace of GOD. However, u can still surf the net, download some ebooks, and videos on a programming language of your choice. That should be a good start.
