✞ Is It True Our Salvation is Really A FREE GIFT? No Strings?
.
God has revealed to us “The wages of sin is death but the *GIFT of God is eternal life...”
.
*Gift Defined: Something
voluntarily transferred by one
person to another without
compensation or payment.
.
When you receive a birthday gift
from a love one how much does it
cost you and what must you
promise to do to receive or keep it?
.
If you have to make any
contributions of money or
word...by definition is is NOT a gift! That is not what a gift is!
.
Jesus made a complete and total
payment for our sins though his
death, shed blood, burial and
resurrection and by virtue of HIS
work he offers salvation to all who will trust in him for it as a gift.
.
All that is required to receive your
gift of salvation is BELIEVE-[trust]
that he shed his blood, died to pay
for your sins and rose from the
dead to GIFT you will eternal
salvation.
.
You can only give a gift that you
have paid the full price for. For
those who receive a genuine 'gift,'
there are no hidden fees or
surcharges applied to the recipient. And it cant legally be taken back!
.
God's gift of salvation is no
different regards of what you have heard or thought. The Bible shows there are no strings attached because Jesus paid the price in full. If you put your faith in his death, shed blood, burial and resurrection of Jesus the only begotten son of God (1 Cor. 15:1-4), he gives you the 'gift' of eternal life and no charge to you. He paid the price in full. It's really that simple.
.
Read it here:
"For 'if' we 'believe' that {Jesus died and rose again}, even so them also which sleep [died] in Jesus will God bring with him." -1Thess.4:14
So here is the question you must
answer now, Will you accept the
gift of God right now? How?
Believe (Trust, have faith) in Jesus,
that he died paying for your sins
and rose from the grave to save
you.
.
Add nothing or take nothing away
from this gospel message unless
you make it null and void as it then is no longer a gift.

Firstly before I give you a detailed answer backed with 101 scriptures, let me first tell you how you might have fallen, are falling or may fall from having eternal life as a gift or fall from grace.

Can one fall from grace? YES, OF COURSE! Because many christians have fallen unknowingly through right living. Then next question is how can a believer fall from grace? Through sin? Oh, NO! Because his entire life debt has been paid(forgiven) Then what? Trusting on right living + faith!
It not possible to mix both of them. You either work on faith only or right living.

Walking by faith means that it is not about your deeds, it about what christ's deeds at the cross.

I will answer this question with 101 scripture that point's to the fact that faith + right living doesn't make us righteous before God, but faith + faith + faith....only believing and not withstanding sin.

Enjoy 101 verse that proves faith ONLY and not "+ right living";

1. Eph. 2:8-9 - "For BY GRACE are ye
SAVED THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT
OF
YOURSELVES: it is the GIFT of God: NOT
OF WORKS, lest any man should boast."

2. Rom. 4:6-7 - God imputes
"Righteousness without works."

3. Rom. 10:3 - It's a grave mistake for
anyone to try to, "Establish their own
righteousness."

4. Rom. 5:17 - Heaven deserving
righteousness is a "GIFT," not something you
earn.

5. Rom. 5:18 - Justification to God is a
"FREE GIFT," not something you work
toward.

6. Phil. 3:9 - Paul, as ‘good’ as he was, still
wouldn't trust his "Own righteousness" to
save him.

7. Rom. 3:22 - God's righteousness is
credited to "ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE," not
all that work.

8. Rom. 8:3-4 - The flesh is too "Weak" to
save itself. We need a Saviour. We need
Christ.

9. Rom. 4:3 - Abraham's faith, not works,
"Was counted unto him for
righteousness."

10. Rom. 4:4-5 - Works are "Not reckoned
of grace, but of debt." Faith is counted as
righteousness.

11. Gal. 3:10 - To earn Heaven you'd have to "Continueth," perfectly, in the whole law and if you can't keep the whole of it(10 commandments and 600+laws) you are under curse. Only faith is needed.

12. Titus 3:5 - "NOT BY WORKS OF
RIGHTEOUSNESS which we have done,
but according to
his mercy he saved us, by the washing
of regeneration, and renewing of the
Holy Ghost."

13. John 5:24 - In Christ we've "PASSED
from death unto life." We don't have to
"wait" to find out.

14. Rom. 9:31-32 - Israel, "Sought it not
by faith, but as it were by the works of
the law."

15. Acts 4:12 - No other name but Christ can
save us-- not the name of works, nor our own
name.

16. John 1:12-13 - Only God's power,
through His Son, makes us a child of God.
We are not born into
God's family by "Blood" (heritage, family
‘pedigree’), "Nor will of the flesh" (good
works), "Nor will
of man." (minister, or man made religion),
"But of God."

17. Isa. 45:22 - No one else can save a soul
from Hell but God; "There is none else."

18. Acts 13:39 - "And by him [Christ] all
that believe are justified from all things,
from which ye
COULD NOT BE JUSTIFIED by the law of
Moses."

19. Rom. 8:7 - We can't follow God's law
even if we wanted to. So how can we save
ourselves?

20. Matthew 7:21-23 - Christ describes a
future scene in which some who are trusting
in their "Many
wonderful works," will, sadly, be told by
Christ: "I never knew you: depart from
me, Ye that work
iniquity." Their good works will not save
them. We all have to trust Christ, and Him
ALONE.

21. John 10:1 - We must enter through
Christ, "THE DOOR," not by "Some other
way.."

22. John 8:24 - A person can work all they
want, but it won't save them. Jesus said the
bottom line is
that, "If ye believe not that I am he [the
only way], ye shall die in your sins."

23. Rom. 4:2 - If Abraham could have saved
himself, he'd have something to brag about.

24. Acts 10:1-43 - Cornelius' good works
would put anyone today to shame, yet he still
had to get saved
by trusting solely in Christ to save him.

25. Rom. 3:27-28 - "Where is boasting
then?...Of WORKS? nay."

26. 1 John 5:13 - If your salvation depends
on a lifetime of good works, then why does
the Bible teach
that you could "KNOW" for sure, before you
die, that you are going to Heaven? The
answer is because
salvation doesn't depend on you, but on
Christ, who ALREADY paid the price for your
sins.

27. Heb. 1:3 - "He had BY HIMSELF
purged our sins." He doesn't need help
from us!

28. Heb. 2:3 - If we have to work at earning
it, why does the Bible call it "So great
salvation"?

29. Heb. 2:9-10 - Christ is "The CAPTAIN
of their salvation." He tasted "Death for
every man."

30. Heb. 2:14-15 - Christ is the one who will
"DELIVER" us from death, not ourselves!

31. Heb. 2:17 - Christ makes
"RECONCILIATION for the sins." We can't
reconcile ourselves.

32. Heb. 5:9 - Christ is "The AUTHOR of
eternal salvation," not us! It's not in our
hands.

33. Gal. 2:16 - "Knowing that a man IS
NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS of the
law, but by the
faith of Jesus Christ, ....that we might be
justified by the faith of Christ, and NOT
by the WORKS
of the law: FOR BY THE WORKS OF THE
LAW SHALL NO FLESH BE JUSTIFIED."

34. Heb. 9:28 - "Christ was once offered
to bear the sins of many." God won't
accept good works.

35. Heb. 10:10-12 - Christ's body was
offered "Once for all." So stop insulting
God with your works.

36. Heb. 10:14 - "For by one offering he
hath perfected for ever them." STOP
WORKING at it!

37. Heb. 10:17-18 - "There is no more
offering for sin." So stop offering your
good works.

38. 2 Cor. 1:9 - "We should not trust in
ourselves, but in God," who has ALREADY
paid the price.

39. 2 Cor. 1:10 - Christ "Delivered us from
so great a death." He had to; we can't
deliver ourselves.

40. Eph. 1:12-13 - You are saved by trusting
in Christ, and, "After that believed, ye
were SEALED."

41. Jer. 17:5 - "Cursed be the man that
trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his
arm."

42. Job 25:4 - "How then can man be
justified with God? or how can he be
clean that is born of a
woman?" (For God's answer, see Isaiah
1:18)

43. Isa. 12:2 - "Behold, God is my
salvation; I will trust." Don't trust good
works, trust the Saviour.

44. Luke 18:9-14 - Jesus gives a parable
teaching that self righteousness WILL NOT
save a person.

45. Ezek. 33:13 - "If he trust to his own
righteousness..." He better be perfectly
sinless or else!

46. John 14:6 - Jesus said, "I am THE
WAY...no man cometh unto the Father,
BUT BY ME."

47. 1 Tim. 2:5-6 - There's ONLY "One
mediator between God and men," Jesus
Christ, not ourselves.

48. Col. 2:14 - Christ took our sin debt,
"Nailing it to his cross." It's ALREADY paid
for!

49. John 19:30 - While on the cross, Christ
said, "It is finished." It's paid. We don't
have to work for it.

50. Matt. 11:28-30 - Christ offers "REST" to
all those working at trying to earn their way to
Heaven.

51. Isa. 53:4-6 - Christ was, "WOUNDED
FOR OUR transgressions." Why? So WE
don't have to be.

52. Heb. 4:9-10 - The person who accepts
Christ as Saviour, "Hath CEASED from his
own works."

53. Gal. 2:21 - If you could earn Heaven, why
did Christ die? "Then Christ is dead in
vain."

54. Rom. 3:20 - "Therefore by the deeds
of the law there SHALL NO FLESH BE
JUSTIFIED in his
sight: for by the law is the knowledge of
sin."

55. Gal. 5:1-4 - "Christ hath made us
free." He had to; we can't free ourselves, no
matter how "good."

56. 2 Tim. 1:10 - "Our Saviour Jesus
Christ, who hath abolished death," with
no help from us.

57. 1 John 4:14 - Christ was sent, "To be
the Saviour of the world"; we couldn't
save ourselves.

58. 1 Tim. 4:10 - "The Saviour of ALL
men." Why try to save yourself? You
already have a Saviour.

59. Acts 16:30-31 - When the Philippian
jailer asked, "What must I do to be
saved?" Paul didn't say,
keep the Ten Commandments, but rather,
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and
thou shalt be saved."

60. Luke 7:49-50 - Christ told the woman:
"Thy faith hath saved thee," not thy
works!

61. Eph. 1:7 - "Redemption through HIS
BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins," not
through our works.

62. 1 Pet. 1:3-5 - "According to his
abundant MERCY," not according to our
good deeds.

63. Rev. 1:5 - Christ, "Washed us from our
sins in his own blood"; can't wash
ourselves with works.

64. Titus 3:7 - We are "Justified by his
grace," not by our good deeds, baptism, or
church membership.

65. Titus 2:11 - "The grace of God that
BRINGETH SALVATION hath appeared to
ALL MEN."

66. Eph. 4:32 - We are forgiven, "For
Christ's sake," not because of our good
behavior.

67. Eph. 2:4-5 - "(By grace ye are
saved)," not by works. The two DON'T mix
according to Rom. 11:6.

68. Acts 26:18 - "Through this man
[Christ]...forgiveness of sins," not through
our efforts!

69. Heb. 7:25 - Only Christ is "Able to
save." Only He can "Make INTERCESSION
for them."

70. Rom. 3:10 - "There is none righteous,
no, not one." So how can anyone save
themselves?

71. Rom. 3:12 - "There is none that
doeth good, no, not one." So how can
anyone save themselves?

72. Eccl. 7:20 - "There is not a just man
upon earth, that doeth good." Can
anyone save themselves?

73. Rom. 4:25 - Christ has already died for
our sins. He, "Was delivered for our
offences and raised
again FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION." So what
role does a person play in their own salvation?

74. Rom. 5:10 - "We are reconciled to
God by the death of his Son," not by the
fruits of our works.

75. John 6:28-29 - "Then said they unto
him, WHAT SHALL WE DO, that we might
work the works
of God? Jesus answered and said unto
them, THIS IS THE WORK OF GOD, THAT
YE BELIEVE
ON HIM whom he hath sent."

76. 1 Pet. 3:18 - "Suffered for us...that
HE might bring us to God." Do we have to
help Him save us?
Didn't He suffer enough to pay the price?
Heb. 7:25 says He did. He saves to "The
uttermost."

77. Matt. 5:20 - Your self-righteousness
would have to surpass that of the Pharisees--
Impossible! But possible by faith ALONE in christ because the righteousness of Jesus is perfect and not ours.

78. 1 John 2:2 - Christ, "Is the propitiation
[payment]...for the sins of the whole
world." If He can
pay for the sins of the whole world, why would
He need our help in saving us-- mere
individuals?

79. Rom. 8:8 - "They that are in the flesh
cannot please God." So what chance does
anyone have?

80. Rom. 3:23-25 - Through Christ's death
we are "Justified freely" (made right with
God). His death
provides: "Redemption" (we are bought
back to God), "Propitiation" (a settlement of
our sin debt),
"Remission [forgiveness] of sins." It's all
by God's "Grace" not our works.

81. James 2:10-11 - "For whosoever shall
keep the whole law, and yet offend in
ONE POINT, he is
guilty of all." We can't possibly save
ourselves; God demands sinless perfection.
We need a Saviour.

82. Romans 5:8-9 - We are "Justified by
his blood," not our good works. That's why
"When we were
sinners, Christ died for us." Therefore,
"We shall be saved from wrath through
him."

83. Matt. 18:11 - Jesus came "To save that
which was lost [us]." Why? Because we
can't save ourselves.
Otherwise, why send Christ to die for our sins
if we could pay for them ourselves?

84. Acts 15:10-11 - "Through the grace
of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be
saved," not through
works. Grace is not works; works is not
grace, as explained in Rom. 11:6

85. 2 Cor. 5:21 - "Christ was made sin for
us...that we might be made the
righteousness of God in
him." Why trust our own "righteousness" if
God offers to impute us His righteousness?
(Rom. 4:22-24)

86. Matt. 19:25-26 - "When his disciples
heard it, they were exceedingly amazed,
saying, WHO THEN
CAN BE SAVED? But Jesus beheld them,
and said unto them, WITH MEN THIS IS
IMPOSSIBLE;
but with God all things are possible."

87. Rom. 5:1 - "Therefore being
JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we have PEACE
WITH GOD through our
Lord Jesus Christ." There can be no real
peace when a person spends their life
wondering if they have done
enough good works. Peace is knowing it's
been paid for ALREADY.

88. 2 Tim. 1:9 - "Who hath saved us, and
called us with an holy calling, NOT
ACCORDING TO OUR
WORKS, but according to his own
purpose and grace, which was given us
in Christ Jesus before the
world began." God had a "payment plan"
ready before any of us were even alive to
work!

89. Rom. 10:9-13 - "That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus
[i.e. Repent], and shalt
believe in thine heart [i.e. Trust] that God
hath raised him from the dead, THOU
SHALT BE SAVED
...For whosoever shall CALL upon the
name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED."

90. Rom. 11:6 - "And if by grace, then is
it no more of works: otherwise grace is
no more grace."

91. Gal. 1:4, 92. Rom. 1:16, 93. Gal.
3:21, 94. Heb. 9:22, 95. 1 Tim. 2:6, 96.
Acts 10:43,
97. Isa. 43:11, 98. Gal. 3:24, 99. Heb.
9:12-14, 100. 1 Tim. 1:15, 101. Heb. 6:1

Op, what are we saved from when we receive salvation?
And when we receive Grace, what does grace produce in us?
Why is it that Paul always commenced his epistles stating the benefits of free Grace but end with demands for a righteous life: a proof of grace received?

We were saved from the curse of the law.
Period!

The wages of sin is death, the curse which EVERYBODY deserves(no matter how rightly you live), but the GIFT of God is eternal life, which we can NEVER deserve but has been given freely because Jesus tasted death(which we deserve) for every man that hath, is and will live on earth, to give us the gift of righteousness.

What a great love!!!

Jesus was made guilt for our sin, was condemned for our sin and was punished, so that we can FREELY have his righteousness not withstanding sin.

He paid it completely so that sin will not be a hindrance to us from connecting in his righteousness.

My friend, to understand grace properly, you should be looking at it in the person of Jesus.
Grace is a person(jesus).

Now, while still looking at grace in the person of jesus. Let's answer this question.

Q1: Why did christ die?
a. For the guilt, imputation, condemnation and penalty of not just our entire sin but the sins of the whole world?
b. For the power of sin over flesh?

Answer: Jesus NEVER died for the power of sin over flesh. Please to disprove this, quote even a single reasonable scriptures. Proving it with your imagination, experiences or thought, should be regarded as heresy.

What jesus died for is the guilt, imputation, condemnation and penalty of our sins. Each time I read the scriptures I see things like ".....who bore our sins on his body(penalty)."
1Peter 2:24;"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins(punishment), should live unto righteousness(which is of faith, not works): by whose stripes ye were healed."

Isaiah 53:6;"All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the
LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him."

NOTE: accepting and believing the finished work of christ does not make one SINLESS, NEVER. Does not even make us live rightly, rather the love of God shed abroad in our heart. If you don't agree, disprove it with the scriptures ONLY. And despite the love, it does not mean that we can never sin, rather the love gives us the hunger for right living, we can still sin because of our imperfection in flesh. Not withstanding the love, we commit sin, we are NOT condemned, because jesus was condemned for our sake.

Romans 7:14-25
"14. We know that the law is spiritual; but I am
unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not
understand what I do. FOR WHAT I WANT TO DO I DO NOT DO, BUT WHAT I HATE I DO(sin). And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.
As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, BUT IT IS SIN STILL LIVING IN ME(sin is still in his flesh). FOR I KNOW THAT GOOD
ITSELF DOES NOT DWELL IN ME, that is, in my SINFUL NATURE(flesh). For I have the desire to do what is
good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do
the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want
to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but
IT IS SIN THAT IS LIVING IN ME(flesh) THAT DOES IT.
So I find this law at work: Although I want to
do good, evil is right there with me. For in my
inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see
another law at work in me, waging war against
the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of
the law of sin at work within me. What a
wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from
this body that is subject to death? Thanks be
to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our
Lord!
(by imputing on him jesus' righteousness). So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s
law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law
of sin.
"

That you accept christ does not make you sinless, that's to show you that grace(jesus' death) is not for the power of sin over flesh, because even paul was struggling with sin, but not struggling to be righteous before God.

But, you believing in christ, makes you eternally, innocent, never to be judged, condemned, punished and imputteth not your sins on you because it has been carried out on jesus.

Rom 5:13:"(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law."

Rom 4:15:
"Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law
is, there is no transgression."

More grace!

Answer: Jesus NEVER died for the power of sin over flesh. Please to disprove this, quote even a single reasonable scriptures. Proving it with your imagination, experiences or thought, should be regarded as heresy.

7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Romans 6:7,11,12,13

This is clear enough bro. Besides, if we continue obeying sin this is what it says:

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Romans 6:15,16

If we keep yielding to sin, we are sin's servants and we get sin's wages!

But Paul, inspired by God, said this will be the result when we believe:

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Romans 6:22

Yes HE died to free us from guilt etc, but He also died to free us from sin's dominion!

As regards the highlighted, the Love gives us the desire and the POWER to walk in Newness of life (what you call right living)! Yes John wrote that IF (not WHEN) any christian sins, we have an advocate with the Father. Meaning there may be times of occasional slips but it wont be the norm. And in fact, such will be followed by instant desire to make things right!

The saints in Corinth had an issue regarding sin by one of their members and Paul wrote to rebuke them; afterward he, through the inspiration of the Spirit, commended their action:

11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
1 corinth 5:11

Did they brand Paul a pharisee that did not understand the workings of grace? NO rather see their reaction which Paul commended:

Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
12 Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.
2 Corinth 7:9-12

Remember this was written to believers in whose church the gifts of the Spirit was in continual manifestation!!!

They eagerly sought to make things right with godly sorrow and repentance. If we have received grace, sin will not be the norm and IF it happens, we will not sit basking in a deceived notion but true grace will beget godly sorrow an genuine repentance with all necessary restitution and a more taking heed lest it ever repeats itself.

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s
law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law
of sin.
"
Yes but he continues in Chapter 8 that the Spirit that raised up Jesus quickens our mortal bodies (with the same Resurrection life) and mortifies the flesh thus giving us Victory that the Law could not give!!!
see Romans 8:4,10,11,13

That you accept christ does not make you sinless, that's to show you that grace(jesus' death) is not for the power of sin over flesh, because even paul was struggling with sin, but not struggling to be righteous before God.

Paul was not reporting Romans 7 as a present battle else how did he arrive at Chapter 8 and the Victory described therein? The same Paul could testify thus:

Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe
1 Thessalonians 2: 10

Was that by the Law or struggling?NO It was by the Grace he also received!!!

But, you believing in christ, makes you eternally, innocent, never to be judged, condemned, punished and imputteth not your sins on you because it has been carried out on jesus.

Rom 5:13:"(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law."
This is heresy! Was Paul inspired when he said what he said in 1 Corinth 5:11 about saints (brothers) who continue in sin? We do not live right to be justified or to get to Heaven. BUT, when we receive Grace, the evidence of what we received is that we walk in newness of life except if we lost Grace, we are enabled to continue walking therein.

We were saved from the curse of the law.
Period!
But was the Angel wrong when he thus said:

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Matthew 1:21

OR was Zechariah mistaken when he said concerning the Messiah:

74that he would grant unto us,
that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies
might serve him without fear,

75 in holiness and righteousness before him,
all the days of our life.
Luke 1:74,75

The wages of sin is death, the curse which EVERYBODY deserves(no matter how rightly you live), but the GIFT of God is eternal life, which we can NEVER deserve but has been given freely because Jesus tasted death(which we deserve) for every man that hath, is and will live on earth, to give us the gift of righteousness.

What a great love!!!

Jesus was made guilt for our sin, was condemned for our sin and was punished, so that we can FREELY have his righteousness not withstanding sin.
CAn you pls explain this:

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works
Titus 2:11-14

promisechuks:

Enjoy 101 verse that proves faith ONLY and not "+ right living";

1. Eph. 2:8-9 - "For BY GRACE are ye
SAVED THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT
OF
YOURSELVES: it is the GIFT of God: NOT
OF WORKS, lest any man should boast."

2. Rom. 4:6-7 - God imputes
"Righteousness without works."

3. Rom. 10:3 - It's a grave mistake for
anyone to try to, "Establish their own
righteousness."

4. Rom. 5:17 - Heaven deserving
righteousness is a "GIFT," not something you
earn.

5. Rom. 5:18 - Justification to God is a
"FREE GIFT," not something you work
toward.

6. Phil. 3:9 - Paul, as ‘good’ as he was, still
wouldn't trust his "Own righteousness" to
save him.

7. Rom. 3:22 - God's righteousness is
credited to "ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE," not
all that work.

8. Rom. 8:3-4 - The flesh is too "Weak" to
save itself. We need a Saviour. We need
Christ.

9. Rom. 4:3 - Abraham's faith, not works,
"Was counted unto him for
righteousness."

10. Rom. 4:4-5 - Works are "Not reckoned
of grace, but of debt." Faith is counted as
righteousness.

11. Gal. 3:10 - To earn Heaven you'd have to "Continueth," perfectly, in the whole law and if you can't keep the whole of it(10 commandments and 600+laws) you are under curse. Only faith is needed.

12. Titus 3:5 - "NOT BY WORKS OF
RIGHTEOUSNESS which we have done,
but according to
his mercy he saved us, by the washing
of regeneration, and renewing of the
Holy Ghost."

13. John 5:24 - In Christ we've "PASSED
from death unto life." We don't have to
"wait" to find out.

14. Rom. 9:31-32 - Israel, "Sought it not
by faith, but as it were by the works of
the law."

15. Acts 4:12 - No other name but Christ can
save us-- not the name of works, nor our own
name.

16. John 1:12-13 - Only God's power,
through His Son, makes us a child of God.
We are not born into
God's family by "Blood" (heritage, family
‘pedigree’), "Nor will of the flesh" (good
works), "Nor will
of man." (minister, or man made religion),
"But of God."

17. Isa. 45:22 - No one else can save a soul
from Hell but God; "There is none else."

18. Acts 13:39 - "And by him [Christ] all
that believe are justified from all things,
from which ye
COULD NOT BE JUSTIFIED by the law of
Moses."

19. Rom. 8:7 - We can't follow God's law
even if we wanted to. So how can we save
ourselves?

20. Matthew 7:21-23 - Christ describes a
future scene in which some who are trusting
in their "Many
wonderful works," will, sadly, be told by
Christ: "I never knew you: depart from
me, Ye that work
iniquity." Their good works will not save
them. We all have to trust Christ, and Him
ALONE.

21. John 10:1 - We must enter through
Christ, "THE DOOR," not by "Some other
way.."

22. John 8:24 - A person can work all they
want, but it won't save them. Jesus said the
bottom line is
that, "If ye believe not that I am he [the
only way], ye shall die in your sins."

23. Rom. 4:2 - If Abraham could have saved
himself, he'd have something to brag about.

24. Acts 10:1-43 - Cornelius' good works
would put anyone today to shame, yet he still
had to get saved
by trusting solely in Christ to save him.

25. Rom. 3:27-28 - "Where is boasting
then?...Of WORKS? nay."

26. 1 John 5:13 - If your salvation depends
on a lifetime of good works, then why does
the Bible teach
that you could "KNOW" for sure, before you
die, that you are going to Heaven? The
answer is because
salvation doesn't depend on you, but on
Christ, who ALREADY paid the price for your
sins.

27. Heb. 1:3 - "He had BY HIMSELF
purged our sins." He doesn't need help
from us!

28. Heb. 2:3 - If we have to work at earning
it, why does the Bible call it "So great
salvation"?

29. Heb. 2:9-10 - Christ is "The CAPTAIN
of their salvation." He tasted "Death for
every man."

30. Heb. 2:14-15 - Christ is the one who will
"DELIVER" us from death, not ourselves!

31. Heb. 2:17 - Christ makes
"RECONCILIATION for the sins." We can't
reconcile ourselves.

32. Heb. 5:9 - Christ is "The AUTHOR of
eternal salvation," not us! It's not in our
hands.

33. Gal. 2:16 - "Knowing that a man IS
NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS of the
law, but by the
faith of Jesus Christ, ....that we might be
justified by the faith of Christ, and NOT
by the WORKS
of the law: FOR BY THE WORKS OF THE
LAW SHALL NO FLESH BE JUSTIFIED."

34. Heb. 9:28 - "Christ was once offered
to bear the sins of many." God won't
accept good works.

35. Heb. 10:10-12 - Christ's body was
offered "Once for all." So stop insulting
God with your works.

36. Heb. 10:14 - "For by one offering he
hath perfected for ever them." STOP
WORKING at it!

37. Heb. 10:17-18 - "There is no more
offering for sin." So stop offering your
good works.

38. 2 Cor. 1:9 - "We should not trust in
ourselves, but in God," who has ALREADY
paid the price.

39. 2 Cor. 1:10 - Christ "Delivered us from
so great a death." He had to; we can't
deliver ourselves.

40. Eph. 1:12-13 - You are saved by trusting
in Christ, and, "After that believed, ye
were SEALED."

41. Jer. 17:5 - "Cursed be the man that
trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his
arm."

42. Job 25:4 - "How then can man be
justified with God? or how can he be
clean that is born of a
woman?" (For God's answer, see Isaiah
1:18)

43. Isa. 12:2 - "Behold, God is my
salvation; I will trust." Don't trust good
works, trust the Saviour.

44. Luke 18:9-14 - Jesus gives a parable
teaching that self righteousness WILL NOT
save a person.

45. Ezek. 33:13 - "If he trust to his own
righteousness..." He better be perfectly
sinless or else!

46. John 14:6 - Jesus said, "I am THE
WAY...no man cometh unto the Father,
BUT BY ME."

47. 1 Tim. 2:5-6 - There's ONLY "One
mediator between God and men," Jesus
Christ, not ourselves.

48. Col. 2:14 - Christ took our sin debt,
"Nailing it to his cross." It's ALREADY paid
for!

49. John 19:30 - While on the cross, Christ
said, "It is finished." It's paid. We don't
have to work for it.

50. Matt. 11:28-30 - Christ offers "REST" to
all those working at trying to earn their way to
Heaven.

51. Isa. 53:4-6 - Christ was, "WOUNDED
FOR OUR transgressions." Why? So WE
don't have to be.

52. Heb. 4:9-10 - The person who accepts
Christ as Saviour, "Hath CEASED from his
own works."

53. Gal. 2:21 - If you could earn Heaven, why
did Christ die? "Then Christ is dead in
vain."

54. Rom. 3:20 - "Therefore by the deeds
of the law there SHALL NO FLESH BE
JUSTIFIED in his
sight: for by the law is the knowledge of
sin."

55. Gal. 5:1-4 - "Christ hath made us
free." He had to; we can't free ourselves, no
matter how "good."

56. 2 Tim. 1:10 - "Our Saviour Jesus
Christ, who hath abolished death," with
no help from us.

57. 1 John 4:14 - Christ was sent, "To be
the Saviour of the world"; we couldn't
save ourselves.

58. 1 Tim. 4:10 - "The Saviour of ALL
men." Why try to save yourself? You
already have a Saviour.

59. Acts 16:30-31 - When the Philippian
jailer asked, "What must I do to be
saved?" Paul didn't say,
keep the Ten Commandments, but rather,
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and
thou shalt be saved."

60. Luke 7:49-50 - Christ told the woman:
"Thy faith hath saved thee," not thy
works!

61. Eph. 1:7 - "Redemption through HIS
BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins," not
through our works.

62. 1 Pet. 1:3-5 - "According to his
abundant MERCY," not according to our
good deeds.

63. Rev. 1:5 - Christ, "Washed us from our
sins in his own blood"; can't wash
ourselves with works.

64. Titus 3:7 - We are "Justified by his
grace," not by our good deeds, baptism, or
church membership.

65. Titus 2:11 - "The grace of God that
BRINGETH SALVATION hath appeared to
ALL MEN."

66. Eph. 4:32 - We are forgiven, "For
Christ's sake," not because of our good
behavior.

67. Eph. 2:4-5 - "(By grace ye are
saved)," not by works. The two DON'T mix
according to Rom. 11:6.

68. Acts 26:18 - "Through this man
[Christ]...forgiveness of sins," not through
our efforts!

69. Heb. 7:25 - Only Christ is "Able to
save." Only He can "Make INTERCESSION
for them."

70. Rom. 3:10 - "There is none righteous,
no, not one." So how can anyone save
themselves?

71. Rom. 3:12 - "There is none that
doeth good, no, not one." So how can
anyone save themselves?

72. Eccl. 7:20 - "There is not a just man
upon earth, that doeth good." Can
anyone save themselves?

73. Rom. 4:25 - Christ has already died for
our sins. He, "Was delivered for our
offences and raised
again FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION." So what
role does a person play in their own salvation?

74. Rom. 5:10 - "We are reconciled to
God by the death of his Son," not by the
fruits of our works.

75. John 6:28-29 - "Then said they unto
him, WHAT SHALL WE DO, that we might
work the works
of God? Jesus answered and said unto
them, THIS IS THE WORK OF GOD, THAT
YE BELIEVE
ON HIM whom he hath sent."

76. 1 Pet. 3:18 - "Suffered for us...that
HE might bring us to God." Do we have to
help Him save us?
Didn't He suffer enough to pay the price?
Heb. 7:25 says He did. He saves to "The
uttermost."

77. Matt. 5:20 - Your self-righteousness
would have to surpass that of the Pharisees--
Impossible! But possible by faith ALONE in christ because the righteousness of Jesus is perfect and not ours.

78. 1 John 2:2 - Christ, "Is the propitiation
[payment]...for the sins of the whole
world." If He can
pay for the sins of the whole world, why would
He need our help in saving us-- mere
individuals?

79. Rom. 8:8 - "They that are in the flesh
cannot please God." So what chance does
anyone have?

80. Rom. 3:23-25 - Through Christ's death
we are "Justified freely" (made right with
God). His death
provides: "Redemption" (we are bought
back to God), "Propitiation" (a settlement of
our sin debt),
"Remission [forgiveness] of sins." It's all
by God's "Grace" not our works.

81. James 2:10-11 - "For whosoever shall
keep the whole law, and yet offend in
ONE POINT, he is
guilty of all." We can't possibly save
ourselves; God demands sinless perfection.
We need a Saviour.

82. Romans 5:8-9 - We are "Justified by
his blood," not our good works. That's why
"When we were
sinners, Christ died for us." Therefore,
"We shall be saved from wrath through
him."

83. Matt. 18:11 - Jesus came "To save that
which was lost [us]." Why? Because we
can't save ourselves.
Otherwise, why send Christ to die for our sins
if we could pay for them ourselves?

84. Acts 15:10-11 - "Through the grace
of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be
saved," not through
works. Grace is not works; works is not
grace, as explained in Rom. 11:6

85. 2 Cor. 5:21 - "Christ was made sin for
us...that we might be made the
righteousness of God in
him." Why trust our own "righteousness" if
God offers to impute us His righteousness?
(Rom. 4:22-24)

86. Matt. 19:25-26 - "When his disciples
heard it, they were exceedingly amazed,
saying, WHO THEN
CAN BE SAVED? But Jesus beheld them,
and said unto them, WITH MEN THIS IS
IMPOSSIBLE;
but with God all things are possible."

87. Rom. 5:1 - "Therefore being
JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we have PEACE
WITH GOD through our
Lord Jesus Christ." There can be no real
peace when a person spends their life
wondering if they have done
enough good works. Peace is knowing it's
been paid for ALREADY.

88. 2 Tim. 1:9 - "Who hath saved us, and
called us with an holy calling, NOT
ACCORDING TO OUR
WORKS, but according to his own
purpose and grace, which was given us
in Christ Jesus before the
world began." God had a "payment plan"
ready before any of us were even alive to
work!

89. Rom. 10:9-13 - "That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus
[i.e. Repent], and shalt
believe in thine heart [i.e. Trust] that God
hath raised him from the dead, THOU
SHALT BE SAVED
...For whosoever shall CALL upon the
name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED."

90. Rom. 11:6 - "And if by grace, then is
it no more of works: otherwise grace is
no more grace."

91. Gal. 1:4, 92. Rom. 1:16, 93. Gal.
3:21, 94. Heb. 9:22, 95. 1 Tim. 2:6, 96.
Acts 10:43,
97. Isa. 43:11, 98. Gal. 3:24, 99. Heb.

Scholar8200:

As regards the highlighted, the Love gives us the desire and the POWER to walk in Newness of life (what you call right living)!

Yes but he continues in Chapter 8 that the Spirit that raised up Jesus quickens our mortal bodies (with the same Resurrection life) and mortifies the flesh thus giving us Victory that the Law could not give!!!

The problem is not right living, the problem is what happens when a christian sin? Having known that christ was condemned for his sake, will the person be condemned for the sin jesus was condemned for?

You misunderstand the scripture, that's why you are living a christian life full of contradiction.

Just answer these questions with bible verse, otherwise will be seen as heresy:
Jesus was condemned for our sake, right?

Jesus abolished the law and it was fulfilled in him?

If jesus was condemned and punished for our sin, how can we(that believe) be punished for the sins he was punished for?

If we can be punished for sin after accepting christ, how can you explain the fact that Jesus was used as a sacrifice for sin?

If the bible clearly states that jesus was made wrath of the sins of the whole world, how can God pour his wrath on us after pouring the same for the same sin on jesus?

If God is a God of justice, how can God punish a sin twice(injustice)?

Yes but he continues in Chapter 8 that the Spirit that raised up Jesus quickens our mortal bodies (with the same Resurrection life) and mortifies the flesh thus giving us Victory that the Law could not give!!!
see Romans 8:4,10,11,13

Paul was not reporting Romans 7 as a present battle else how did he arrive at Chapter 8 and the Victory described therein? The same Paul could testify thus:

Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe
1 Thessalonians 2: 10

Was that by the Law or struggling?NO It was by the Grace he also received!!!

You are misunderstanding it!

Rom 6:7;"For he that is dead is freed from sin"

I will like us to clearly analyse this verse.
Q1: How where we dead to sin? By right living? No! Because a times you still sin, even unknowingly(if it is by right living, please explain). By physical death? No! By spiritual death? No! Then how? We where dead to sin by having FAITH in him(jesus) that was punished, condemned and put to DEATH for our sin." For as he died, we also died with him by faith and not right living. Right living is NOT a proof to being dead to sin, as there are people who are not under christianity, who live more rightly than you can imagine, does it means that they are dead to sin. NO!

What you are saying is indirectly meaning that, when we have not sin, we are dead to sin. And when we sin, we have resurrected IN sin. Then please, proof the death and resurrection of our IN SIN with the bible.

We are dead to sin forever only when we start to BELIEVE in christ's death forever.
Being dead to sin is not all about works but FAITH.

Q2: after been dead to sin by faith, how are we freed from sin? By flesh(right living)? No! Because even after accepting christ, things like your sexual urges is still very active, if you are heading to somewhere important with your car, you may disobey traffic rules(like red light) without even feeling as if you sinned, you may not put on your seat belt and when you see police you fasten it immediately, 2 sins committed; disobedience and hypocrisy.

If you have not committed sin since you have believed in christ, tell me. Don't tell me that you are made free from sin for the next 3 hrs you will not commit sin and then not made free from sin for the past 5 minutes you committed sin. Saying this is heretic and unscriptural. Because you are insinuating that we are made free from sin by our right living and not by faith.

Then how? My friend, when we were dead to sin by having FAITH in christ who was put to death for our sake, we were at the same time being made free from the PENALTY of sin, that's what that verse is saying. This happens by faith only and not faith + right living. Believing in faith+right living gospel clearly shows that you are underestimating christ's finished work, by thinking that your faith alone in christ's work cannot give your eternal life, so you have to HELP HIS (imperfect as you've thought through actions) work by right living, so as to qualify yourself, earn it and merit a gift that has been provided and maintained freely.

If we forever believe we will be forever free from the penalty of sin.

You are more conscious of righteousness before men than righteousness before God. This is a foundational trait of the pharisees, they are ignorant of "...before God" and busy establishing their own righteousness.
Righteousness before men works with right living(righteousness by works), but the righteousness before God works with BELIEVING(faith only).

Anything that connects man to God is ONLY by faith, because, from the days of moses right living couldn't help, he now initiated his righteousness by faith(only believing). Do you know that before moses finished writing the laws, the Israelites where already violating no1 law, GOLDEN CAFE, even before moses descended from the mount to prescribe the law to them. And guess what? Moses, the law prescriber, was the first one to violating ALL the laws by breaking the tablet stone which bore holy, hand-written laws given by yaweeh. But yet, moses didn't die, but 3000 people were killed for the punishment of the golden cafe.

IT IS ALL ABOUT GRACE!

Moses, David, Samson, abraham and many of them NEVER worked on laws(right living) with God but by grace(faith). That's why, despite what they did they went to heaven.

Heb 11:3 (read all to see it all)

Law does not go with faith, rather grace. Think about the law of karma, can you think faith can help?

Law says; do bad, I will curse you and your entire generation, that's where generational curses started from.
Do good, I will bless you.

But grace says; I shall allow blessings to come for the righteous and the unrighteous, I am happy with them because someone has taken their punishment. I will not keep record of their already paid sin, rather their sins I shall remember no more.

ANd when by Faith we died with Him, what follows:

4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

5 Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. 6 We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. 7 For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin
Romans 6:4-7

If we truly believe and identify, the result is newness of life as a result of the working of the Spirit that raised Jesus working also in us.

But that faith will reveal itself in newness of life else it is vain.

Q2: after been dead to sin by faith, how are we freed from sin? By flesh(right living)? No! Because even after accepting christ, things like your sexual urges is still very active,
The sexual urge is not sinful!!! Sin starts when we seek to satisfy it by ungodly means!

if you are heading to somewhere important with your car, you may disobey traffic rules(like red light) without even feeling as if you sinned, you may not put on your seat belt and when you see police you fasten it immediately, 2 sins committed; disobedience and hypocrisy.
Bro, these are man made regulations for your good. The only danger in disobeying them is risk of harm to yourself and others. Okay, was Jesus sinning when, contrary to the rules, He paid tribute for Him and Peter when they could simply claim their rights and refuse to pay?NO!

If you have not committed sin since you have believed in christ, tell me. Don't tell me that you are made free from sin for the next 3 hrs you will not commit sin and then not made free from sin for the past 5 minutes you committed sin. True faith will produce right living. Did Paul remain the same after he was saved by faith?NO! There was a transformation!!! How about Cornelius? Did he just get a positional righteousness?NO There was an impartation, an inward transformation:

He made no distinction between us and them, for he cleansed their hearts through faith

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

Just answer these questions with bible verse, otherwise will be seen as heresy:
Jesus was condemned for our sake, right?
But we only appropriate this when we believe else the world is automatically saved!(Heresy)

Jesus abolished the law and it was fulfilled in him?
He fulfilled and the righteous demands of the law will also be fulfilled in us who believe and Walk in the Spirit.

If jesus was condemned and punished for our sin, how can we(that believe) be punished for the sins he was punished for?
If we fail to appropriate what He provided!Or if we appropriate but do not abide in the faith by which we received.

If we can be punished for sin after accepting christ, how can you explain the fact that Jesus was used as a sacrifice for sin?
What happened to Ananias and Sapphira? Christ's death was not to change God's attitude to sin but to redeem us from the power of sin thus enabling us to live in Victory

who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
titus 2:14
The good works is a FRUIT of Grace received by faith!!!

If the bible clearly states that jesus was made wrath of the sins of the whole world, how can God pour his wrath on us after pouring the same for the same sin on jesus?

If God is a God of justice, how can God punish a sin twice(injustice)?

I have explained vs7

11. "......RECKON ye also yourselves dead to sin...."

Now let's analyse:
The bible is written in greek, so let's explain the word "Reckon" as used in the greek bible.

Reckon in greek is "Logizomai"-Verb meaning: to take into account.

Now, "....RECKON(take into account- faith) ye also yourselves dead to sin...."
Start to believe, start to account, start to see yourself as dead to the cause of sin(no condemnation), even when you do something bad, still see yourself as dead to sin. No condition is added to that. This is a continuous taking-into-account exercise by believing that you are dead to the cause of sin, for christ's sake. By so doing, you see yourself yielding as servant to righteousness.

That is talking about faith in what I explained concerning verse 7.

The greek word for yield is: anadidómi; meaning to give up, hand over.
The greek word for reign is: basileia; meaning kingship, sovereignty, authority, rule, kingdom.
The greek word for let is:aphiémi; meaning release,
permit.

Seeing that when you sin, you are not condemn for christ's sake, don't LET(permit) it(sin) REIGN(have authority, rule, have kingdom) in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lust thereof.

To permit something to have kingdom/authority involves voluntarily taking a decision to HAND OVER to it.

Now that a believer, fornicated and FELT SORRY for what he did doesn't mean that the person has taken the decision to HAND OVER himself to fornication.

If so, then it is means that paul has permitted sin to have kingdom over his body.

Rom 7:7-end "What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful?
Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have
known what sin was had it not been for the law.
For I would not have known what coveting really
was if the law had not said, “You shall not
covet.” But sin, seizing the opportunity
afforded by the commandment, produced in me
every kind of coveting. For apart from the law,
sin was dead. Once I was alive apart from the
law; but when the commandment came, sin
sprang to life and I died. I found that the very
commandment that was intended to bring life
actually brought death. For sin, seizing the
opportunity afforded by the commandment,
deceived me, and through the commandment
put me to death. So then, the law is holy, and
the commandment is holy, righteous and good.
Did that which is good, then, become death
to me? By no means! Nevertheless, in order that
sin might be recognized as sin, it used what is
good to bring about my death, so that through
the commandment sin might become utterly
sinful.
We know that the law is spiritual; but I am
unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not
understand what I do. For what I want to do I do
not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I
do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.
As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but
it is sin living in me. For I know that good
itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful
nature. For I have the desire to do what is
good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do
the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want
to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I
do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but
it is sin living in me that does it.
Thanks be
to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our
Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s
law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law
of sin."

Reading in that passage he commits sin, but when that happens he feels sorry " What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? ". That act of feeling sorry is called "Godly sorrow".

The believer who committed the sin(like paul did) is not sorry because he may be condemned to hell fire. No! If so then eternal life is dependent on how we live and therefore is no more of grace/gift but reward for right living. And that is heretic!

They are sorry because they see it as "no, I am tired of living this way, I am of much value to bring myself so low to fornicate", "though my entire life sin is forgiven, but I suppose not to make myself so devalued to say raca to that person." "Though I am righteous before God for christ's sake, but I need to be improving in my character, not to be something near righteous before God(no, because christ already qualifies me and makes me right
eous before God), but because I am the light and salt of the world, who ought to be an example to others."
You see?

And this is what is called repentance, NOT sinner's prayer because his sins has been paid and forgiven once and for all.

People think repentance is sinner's prayer. NOT SO!

In greek bible, repentance means
: metanoia meaning; a change of mind.
Very simple!

It was mosiac pastors that started preaching sinner's prayer as a way of repentance.

The above, according to my explanation is clearly a different case where a kidnapper accepts christ and still stay in the kidnapping business without his conscience judging him and he is happy about it. In that case the person has permitted the sin of kidnapping to become to have kingdom in his body.

And as such, the person is not taking into account(reckoning) that he is dead to the cause of sin. Which makes him live ignorantly out of grace.

You can't be enjoying grace and be enjoying(I mean happily) doing abortion, all being a cultist. Any one like that is not under the grace because the person has taken the decision to permit sin to deal on his body.

Finally, on this ground, I conclude that when a believer who believes and reckons himself as dead to the cause of sin and believes that he has been made free from the guilt, imputation of sin and condemnation, sin, it does not mean that the person has taken a decision to make is have kingdom, in his body, so far the person has godly sorrow and can feel sorry for what he did he is still justified and of grace.

I hope I have clear some air here, as I can.

That is YOUR addition! And the statement that follow your conclusion based on your addition to that verse!
Did you not read what being a servant to righteousness produces-Holiness!!!! When you were a servant to sin, sins characterised your life. Now when you are made free and become servant to righteousness what should characterise your life

That is talking about faith in what I explained concerning verse 7.

Another addition by YOU to suit your position. Even the statement you created is neither coherent with itself nor with other parts of the Scriptures!!!

To permit something to have kingdom/authority involves voluntarily taking a decision to HAND OVER to it.
Meaning we have the power to resist SIN!

Rom 7:7-end "What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful?
Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have
known what sin was had it not been for the law.
For I would not have known what coveting really
was if the law had not said, “You shall not
covet.” But sin, seizing the opportunity
afforded by the commandment, produced in me
every kind of coveting. For apart from the law,
sin was dead. Once I was alive apart from the
law; but when the commandment came, sin
sprang to life and I died. I found that the very
commandment that was intended to bring life
actually brought death. For sin, seizing the
opportunity afforded by the commandment,
deceived me, and through the commandment
put me to death. So then, the law is holy, and
the commandment is holy, righteous and good.
Did that which is good, then, become death
to me? By no means! Nevertheless, in order that
sin might be recognized as sin, it used what is
good to bring about my death, so that through
the commandment sin might become utterly
sinful.
We know that the law is spiritual; but I am
unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not

not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I
do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.

Reading in that passage he commits sin, but when that happens he feels sorry " What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? ". That act of feeling sorry is called "Godly sorrow".
And godly sorrow leads to REPENTANCE and not an acquiescence to a Sin-repent virtuous circle! But a desire for Total Victory!!! And that Victory and Its means was described in Romans 8- walking in the Spirit , being quickened with the Resurrection Life by the Spirit and mortifying the flesh by the Spirit!

The believer who committed the sin(like paul did) is not sorry because he may be condemned to hell fire. No! If so then eternal life is dependent on how we live and therefore is no more of grace/gift but reward for right living. And that is heretic!
That passage was Paul when he was still under the Law that is why he wrote therein as regards the Law etc

They are sorry because they see it as "no, I am tired of living this way
So one can claim to believe and continue living in sin till they ARE TIRED??!!! IS that what you are IMPLYING?

, I am of much value to bring myself so low to fornicate", "though my entire life sin is forgiven, but I suppose not to make myself so devalued to say raca to that person." You see?
This is serious! Please, does this refer to the grace described in Titus 2:11-14? this is PATHETIC!

Please scholar2800, answer these questions and stop beating around the bush

But that faith will reveal itself in newness of life else it is vain.

The sexual urge is not sinful!!! Sin starts when we seek to satisfy it by ungodly means!

Bro, these are man made regulations for your good. The only danger in disobeying them is risk of harm to yourself and others. Okay, was Jesus sinning when, contrary to the rules, He paid tribute for Him and Peter when they could simply claim their rights and refuse to pay?NO!

Prove the highlighted by quoting me directly!!!!!

Acts 15:9
Out of the heart are the issues of life(Prov) hence the newness of life will be a result of our faith!!!

So long as we walk in the Spirit (Romans 8:12,13)

an opinion of yours which has no relation to ANY of my posts before now. If I am wrong just quote one of such.

Pls address Paul's inspired statement in 1 Corinth 5:11.

Give references that agree with this statement credited to grace.
Now, if a Christian 'sister' goes for an abortion (result of a 'mistake' with a neighbour's husband) and dies while it is being done, where does she stand?
I wouldn't have replied this comment, but your last question has made me to.

You are passing judgement on a sister who died in abortion, while samson who died by suicide was counted for righteousness.

Man, you better stop all this judgement!

I will answer you with a question.

Why was samson counted for righteousness, despite the fact he committed suicide?

Judges 16:30; "Samson said, “Let me die with the
Philistines!” Then he pushed with all his might,
and down came the temple on the rulers and all
the people in it. Thus he killed many more when
he died than while he lived."

It is just like; I was kidnapped, by the boko haram and while there I got hold on a bomb, put it in my body after prayer and blow up myself together with them and despite that I was accounted for faith and made perfect by God.

Thank God that the scriptures clearly shows that almost all men of God sinned and most of them was not accounted for asking for forgiveness, but still made heaven

That was a suicidal act, but was accounted for righteousness.

Hebrew 11:32-40;
32 And what more shall I say? For time would
fail me to tell of f Gideon, Barak, SAMSON ,
i Jephthah, of j David and k Samuel and the
prophets—33 who through FAITH conquered
kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 m quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, n became mighty in war, n put foreign armies to flight. 35 o Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. 36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 q They were stoned, they were sawn in two, 1 r they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated—38 of whom the world was not worthy—t wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39 And all these, u though commended through their faith, u did not receive what was promised, 40 since God had provided something better for us, THAT APART FROM US THEY SHOULD NOT BE MADE PERFECT."

How can a man that committed suicide be made perfect?

God justifying samson who committed suicide and was made perfect by grace.

I laugh at people who pass judgement on people, because they are the ones that will be the victims of them, if care is not taken.

My friend, under grace, sin is not a problem all you need is to believe and you will see it loosing hold of it on it's own and not you trying to merit it by right living.
Re: Is It True Our Salvation Is Really A Free Gift? No Strings? by newnature: 4:52am On Mar 22, 2016
The righteousness spoken of in what Paul calls “the gospel of Christ” is no less than than the perfect righteousness that belongs to God himself. Being justified results in an unchanging attitude of peace with God for every believer. Reconciliation has to do with God’s justice being satisfied for sins, and that means all of them and that means for all the world, reconciliation is a sin issue. Justification is something entirely different, it has to do with a judicial decree of the very righteousness of God himself freely attributed to the believer’s account.

Enjoy 101 verse that proves faith ONLY and not "+ right living";

1. Eph. 2:8-9 - "For BY GRACE are ye
SAVED THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT
OF
YOURSELVES: it is the GIFT of God: NOT
OF WORKS, lest any man should boast."

2. Rom. 4:6-7 - God imputes
"Righteousness without works."

3. Rom. 10:3 - It's a grave mistake for
anyone to try to, "Establish their own
righteousness."

4. Rom. 5:17 - Heaven deserving
righteousness is a "GIFT," not something you
earn.

5. Rom. 5:18 - Justification to God is a
"FREE GIFT," not something you work
toward.

6. Phil. 3:9 - Paul, as ‘good’ as he was, still
wouldn't trust his "Own righteousness" to
save him.

7. Rom. 3:22 - God's righteousness is
credited to "ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE," not
all that work.

8. Rom. 8:3-4 - The flesh is too "Weak" to
save itself. We need a Saviour. We need
Christ.

9. Rom. 4:3 - Abraham's faith, not works,
"Was counted unto him for
righteousness."

10. Rom. 4:4-5 - Works are "Not reckoned
of grace, but of debt." Faith is counted as
righteousness.

11. Gal. 3:10 - To earn Heaven you'd have to "Continueth," perfectly, in the whole law and if you can't keep the whole of it(10 commandments and 600+laws) you are under curse. Only faith is needed.

12. Titus 3:5 - "NOT BY WORKS OF
RIGHTEOUSNESS which we have done,
but according to
his mercy he saved us, by the washing
of regeneration, and renewing of the
Holy Ghost."

13. John 5:24 - In Christ we've "PASSED
from death unto life." We don't have to
"wait" to find out.

14. Rom. 9:31-32 - Israel, "Sought it not
by faith, but as it were by the works of
the law."

15. Acts 4:12 - No other name but Christ can
save us-- not the name of works, nor our own
name.

16. John 1:12-13 - Only God's power,
through His Son, makes us a child of God.
We are not born into
God's family by "Blood" (heritage, family
‘pedigree’), "Nor will of the flesh" (good
works), "Nor will
of man." (minister, or man made religion),
"But of God."

17. Isa. 45:22 - No one else can save a soul
from Hell but God; "There is none else."

18. Acts 13:39 - "And by him [Christ] all
that believe are justified from all things,
from which ye
COULD NOT BE JUSTIFIED by the law of
Moses."

19. Rom. 8:7 - We can't follow God's law
even if we wanted to. So how can we save
ourselves?

20. Matthew 7:21-23 - Christ describes a
future scene in which some who are trusting
in their "Many
wonderful works," will, sadly, be told by
Christ: "I never knew you: depart from
me, Ye that work
iniquity." Their good works will not save
them. We all have to trust Christ, and Him
ALONE.

21. John 10:1 - We must enter through
Christ, "THE DOOR," not by "Some other
way.."

22. John 8:24 - A person can work all they
want, but it won't save them. Jesus said the
bottom line is
that, "If ye believe not that I am he [the
only way], ye shall die in your sins."

23. Rom. 4:2 - If Abraham could have saved
himself, he'd have something to brag about.

24. Acts 10:1-43 - Cornelius' good works
would put anyone today to shame, yet he still
had to get saved
by trusting solely in Christ to save him.

25. Rom. 3:27-28 - "Where is boasting
then?...Of WORKS? nay."

26. 1 John 5:13 - If your salvation depends
on a lifetime of good works, then why does
the Bible teach
that you could "KNOW" for sure, before you
die, that you are going to Heaven? The
answer is because
salvation doesn't depend on you, but on
Christ, who ALREADY paid the price for your
sins.

27. Heb. 1:3 - "He had BY HIMSELF
purged our sins." He doesn't need help
from us!

28. Heb. 2:3 - If we have to work at earning
it, why does the Bible call it "So great
salvation"?

29. Heb. 2:9-10 - Christ is "The CAPTAIN
of their salvation." He tasted "Death for
every man."

30. Heb. 2:14-15 - Christ is the one who will
"DELIVER" us from death, not ourselves!

31. Heb. 2:17 - Christ makes
"RECONCILIATION for the sins." We can't
reconcile ourselves.

32. Heb. 5:9 - Christ is "The AUTHOR of
eternal salvation," not us! It's not in our
hands.

33. Gal. 2:16 - "Knowing that a man IS
NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS of the
law, but by the
faith of Jesus Christ, ....that we might be
justified by the faith of Christ, and NOT
by the WORKS
of the law: FOR BY THE WORKS OF THE
LAW SHALL NO FLESH BE JUSTIFIED."

34. Heb. 9:28 - "Christ was once offered
to bear the sins of many." God won't
accept good works.

35. Heb. 10:10-12 - Christ's body was
offered "Once for all." So stop insulting
God with your works.

36. Heb. 10:14 - "For by one offering he
hath perfected for ever them." STOP
WORKING at it!

37. Heb. 10:17-18 - "There is no more
offering for sin." So stop offering your
good works.

38. 2 Cor. 1:9 - "We should not trust in
ourselves, but in God," who has ALREADY
paid the price.

39. 2 Cor. 1:10 - Christ "Delivered us from
so great a death." He had to; we can't
deliver ourselves.

40. Eph. 1:12-13 - You are saved by trusting
in Christ, and, "After that believed, ye
were SEALED."

41. Jer. 17:5 - "Cursed be the man that
trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his
arm."

42. Job 25:4 - "How then can man be
justified with God? or how can he be
clean that is born of a
woman?" (For God's answer, see Isaiah
1:18)

43. Isa. 12:2 - "Behold, God is my
salvation; I will trust." Don't trust good
works, trust the Saviour.

44. Luke 18:9-14 - Jesus gives a parable
teaching that self righteousness WILL NOT
save a person.

45. Ezek. 33:13 - "If he trust to his own
righteousness..." He better be perfectly
sinless or else!

46. John 14:6 - Jesus said, "I am THE
WAY...no man cometh unto the Father,
BUT BY ME."

47. 1 Tim. 2:5-6 - There's ONLY "One
mediator between God and men," Jesus
Christ, not ourselves.

48. Col. 2:14 - Christ took our sin debt,
"Nailing it to his cross." It's ALREADY paid
for!

49. John 19:30 - While on the cross, Christ
said, "It is finished." It's paid. We don't
have to work for it.

50. Matt. 11:28-30 - Christ offers "REST" to
all those working at trying to earn their way to
Heaven.

51. Isa. 53:4-6 - Christ was, "WOUNDED
FOR OUR transgressions." Why? So WE
don't have to be.

52. Heb. 4:9-10 - The person who accepts
Christ as Saviour, "Hath CEASED from his
own works."

53. Gal. 2:21 - If you could earn Heaven, why
did Christ die? "Then Christ is dead in
vain."

54. Rom. 3:20 - "Therefore by the deeds
of the law there SHALL NO FLESH BE
JUSTIFIED in his
sight: for by the law is the knowledge of
sin."

55. Gal. 5:1-4 - "Christ hath made us
free." He had to; we can't free ourselves, no
matter how "good."

Christ, who hath abolished death," with
no help from us.

57. 1 John 4:14 - Christ was sent, "To be
the Saviour of the world"; we couldn't
save ourselves.

58. 1 Tim. 4:10 - "The Saviour of ALL
men." Why try to save yourself? You
already have a Saviour.

59. Acts 16:30-31 - When the Philippian
jailer asked, "What must I do to be
saved?" Paul didn't say,
keep the Ten Commandments, but rather,
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and
thou shalt be saved."

60. Luke 7:49-50 - Christ told the woman:
"Thy faith hath saved thee," not thy
works!

61. Eph. 1:7 - "Redemption through HIS
BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins," not
through our works.

abundant MERCY," not according to our
good deeds.

63. Rev. 1:5 - Christ, "Washed us from our
sins in his own blood"; can't wash
ourselves with works.

64. Titus 3:7 - We are "Justified by his
grace," not by our good deeds, baptism, or
church membership.

65. Titus 2:11 - "The grace of God that
BRINGETH SALVATION hath appeared to
ALL MEN."

66. Eph. 4:32 - We are forgiven, "For
Christ's sake," not because of our good
behavior.

67. Eph. 2:4-5 - "(By grace ye are
saved)," not by works. The two DON'T mix
according to Rom. 11:6.

68. Acts 26:18 - "Through this man
[Christ]...forgiveness of sins," not through
our efforts!

69. Heb. 7:25 - Only Christ is "Able to
save." Only He can "Make INTERCESSION
for them."

70. Rom. 3:10 - "There is none righteous,
no, not one." So how can anyone save
themselves?

71. Rom. 3:12 - "There is none that
doeth good, no, not one." So how can
anyone save themselves?

72. Eccl. 7:20 - "There is not a just man
upon earth, that doeth good." Can
anyone save themselves?

73. Rom. 4:25 - Christ has already died for
our sins. He, "Was delivered for our
offences and raised
again FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION." So what
role does a person play in their own salvation?

74. Rom. 5:10 - "We are reconciled to
God by the death of his Son," not by the
fruits of our works.

75. John 6:28-29 - "Then said they unto
him, WHAT SHALL WE DO, that we might
work the works
of God? Jesus answered and said unto
them, THIS IS THE WORK OF GOD, THAT
YE BELIEVE
ON HIM whom he hath sent."

76. 1 Pet. 3:18 - "Suffered for us...that
HE might bring us to God." Do we have to
help Him save us?
Didn't He suffer enough to pay the price?
Heb. 7:25 says He did. He saves to "The
uttermost."

77. Matt. 5:20 - Your self-righteousness
would have to surpass that of the Pharisees--
Impossible! But possible by faith ALONE in christ because the righteousness of Jesus is perfect and not ours.

78. 1 John 2:2 - Christ, "Is the propitiation
[payment]...for the sins of the whole
world." If He can
pay for the sins of the whole world, why would
He need our help in saving us-- mere
individuals?

79. Rom. 8:8 - "They that are in the flesh
cannot please God." So what chance does
anyone have?

80. Rom. 3:23-25 - Through Christ's death
we are "Justified freely" (made right with
God). His death
provides: "Redemption" (we are bought
back to God), "Propitiation" (a settlement of
our sin debt),
"Remission [forgiveness] of sins." It's all
by God's "Grace" not our works.

81. James 2:10-11 - "For whosoever shall
keep the whole law, and yet offend in
ONE POINT, he is
guilty of all." We can't possibly save
ourselves; God demands sinless perfection.
We need a Saviour.

82. Romans 5:8-9 - We are "Justified by
his blood," not our good works. That's why
"When we were
sinners, Christ died for us." Therefore,
"We shall be saved from wrath through
him."

83. Matt. 18:11 - Jesus came "To save that
which was lost [us]." Why? Because we
can't save ourselves.
Otherwise, why send Christ to die for our sins
if we could pay for them ourselves?

84. Acts 15:10-11 - "Through the grace
of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be
saved," not through
works. Grace is not works; works is not
grace, as explained in Rom. 11:6

85. 2 Cor. 5:21 - "Christ was made sin for
us...that we might be made the
righteousness of God in
him." Why trust our own "righteousness" if
God offers to impute us His righteousness?
(Rom. 4:22-24)

86. Matt. 19:25-26 - "When his disciples
heard it, they were exceedingly amazed,
saying, WHO THEN
CAN BE SAVED? But Jesus beheld them,
and said unto them, WITH MEN THIS IS
IMPOSSIBLE;
but with God all things are possible."

87. Rom. 5:1 - "Therefore being
JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we have PEACE
WITH GOD through our
Lord Jesus Christ." There can be no real
peace when a person spends their life
wondering if they have done
enough good works. Peace is knowing it's
been paid for ALREADY.

88. 2 Tim. 1:9 - "Who hath saved us, and
called us with an holy calling, NOT
ACCORDING TO OUR
WORKS, but according to his own
purpose and grace, which was given us
in Christ Jesus before the
world began." God had a "payment plan"
ready before any of us were even alive to
work!

89. Rom. 10:9-13 - "That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus
[i.e. Repent], and shalt
believe in thine heart [i.e. Trust] that God
hath raised him from the dead, THOU
SHALT BE SAVED
...For whosoever shall CALL upon the
name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED."

90. Rom. 11:6 - "And if by grace, then is
it no more of works: otherwise grace is
no more grace."

91. Gal. 1:4, 92. Rom. 1:16, 93. Gal.
3:21, 94. Heb. 9:22, 95. 1 Tim. 2:6, 96.
Acts 10:43,
97. Isa. 43:11, 98. Gal. 3:24, 99. Heb.
9:12-14, 100. 1 Tim. 1:15, 101. Heb. 6:1

Please join me explain to them, especially that pharisee scholar8200.

I don't think that he even understand the gravity of christ's death and rsurrection.

You see, Christ was made to be sin for us. The issue is not that of sinners making God’s son become their Savior through the avenue of a present-day forgiveness of sins, but in believing that the son of God became their Savior the day he took their sin debt, the entirely of that sin debt upon himself.

Hebrew 11:32-40;

Kindly highlight the judgement I passed.

Samson committed suicide

You hastily make accusations that you cannot prove.
