To the Glory of Almighty God, the Anambra state government has paid the March 2016 salaries of all civil servants and Secondary School Teachers in the state ahead of the Easter celebrations. Pensioners will be paid today, Saturday.

Anambra state is one of the two States in Nigeria to achieve this feat ahead of Easter and confirms Governor Willie Obiano's commitments to the welfare and wellbeing of not only civil servants in the state but the entire citizenry.

It is also evident that 'Willie is Working' even on public holidays. The Governor and his team worked all day on Good Friday to give joy to thousands of Anambra families for Easter.

Is Anambra still part of Nigeria, even when other states are struggling with minimum of 5-10months salary arrears with no capital project to show? Despite the huge capital infrastructural projects going on all over Anambra, the governor is still meeting up with the state's recurrent bills.

It's just that such a thing should be the norm rather than the exception if not for the growing ineptitude and wastefulness that colours almost every other state and the federal government.

These things give further credence to the need for regional governance or outright separation so that people can hold their collective fates in their hands being of similar cultural and religious disposition.

And one state is celebrating partial January payment.

The funny thing is that the state budgeted 150.7 billion with 6 million allocation while Anambra budgeted 101.4 billion with 2.9 billion monthly allocation

I hate media propaganda, how does this suppose to be a news? Ebonyi paid teachers on 15th and other on 22nd even though the governor inherited a dilapidated treasury but u hardly hear anybody talking about it,how much more Obiano which Peter Obi made everything easy for. Pls stop these noise making,it's getting so annoying.

Fayose should learn from this Governors and stop should stop behaving like a bastard. Yoruba's are not in the habit of been rude to its elders.
