What's wrong with the nest of champions?
Ppogbae:

The Moroccan lad is right. Lagos, the megacity and economic powerhouse of Africa, should have at least 2 world class stadia. Every other major city like Ibadan, PH, Kano, etc. should have at least 1. I hope we play our next matches in Abuja to avoid further embarrassment. Teslim Balogun looks like utter garbage.

Uyo is excellent too, but Abuja was just renovated and we haven't been there in a long time.

It's either you are ignorant or being mischievous...
There are only two stadiums that can host the super eagles in the east.. That's Enyimba stadium and the Enugu stadium.. The problem here is that Enyimba's stadium isn't big enough, and the city of Aba doesn't have the necessary infrastructure to host the eagles. Enugu own is that the stadium pitch is Astro... The super eagles stopped using Astro pitches in the country long ago...If memory serves me right, the last time we played on Astro pitch in Nigeria was when we hosted Botswana in a friend in Benin city when the stadium still had astro pitch...
And finally, what efforts are the governors in the east putting into attracting the super eagles to come and play in their states? Abi you think Pinnick is just moving the team to anywhere he likes? No bro.. the governors are the ones enticing the team so as to score political points...
Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin city never had Astro-turf on it bro. Do your research.

Senior man's control for the second goal was so silky the fact that he pulled it off on that kind of pitch makes it extra noteworthy

It is not an easy stuff scoring two great goals on a farmland.
Africa defense is in for a torture at the nation's cup!
The attack of Osi, Nacho, Iwobi, Chuz, and Aribo will give most teams in the world sleepless night.
Nigerians! our team is taking shape!

Exactly. And the truth is that first touch before Nacho's swift turn was extra special. Needs to to be talked about more. World Class was written all over that goal. A super goal.

Even Haaland saw the goal and was like... grin

Super Eagles Camp Update

So I understand this "devil" grin nutmegged a whole lot of folks in training today. Lol

Chidera Ejuke. A delight anyday. Having him on the bench alone shows the mad depth we have in the wing positions.... yet he is deserving of a start.

No he didn't, it was Onyekuru who was nutmeg-ging folks. At some point it was 3 defenders that were closing on him.
Chidera and Ebuehi had this chemistry today playing from the right flank during training today.

I wish Rohr blooded the new guys in the Liberia game.

No harm in playing a 352.

Omeruo-Awaziem-Aina

Simon-Bonke-Michael-Kalu
Ejuke
Osihmen-Onuachu/Musa

My biggest prayer is aina not starting against Cape Verde ,he will be the scape goat

He has played the first game so ebuehi should be starting ,if aina is starting he should be starting at LB

Sadiq and Almeria has done it! Held their nerves and showed class to win 2-0 vs Malaga despite going a man down on 46mins. The two goals came after the red with Sadiq bagging the all important opener.

La Liga side Getafe reportedly made a last-ditch attempt to sign Nigerian forward Umar Sadiq from Almeria on the last day of the summer transfer window.

According to reliable Spanish publications La Voz, the Deep Blue Ones offered their Segunda division counterparts a player-plus-cash offer for the former Partizan Belgrade striker.

Getafe were among the first clubs to make a bid for Sadiq this summer, offering €16 million (7.8 billion naira) back in July, which was promptly rejected by La Union.

The Rojiblancos valued the 24-year-old who scored 22 goals in all competitions in his debut season in Spain at around €30 million. That is half of the €60 million release clause in Sadiq’s contract with the Spanish club.

But Getafe waited until the final hours of transfer deadline day to present an improved bid of €18 million in cash plus an unnamed player and other add-ons that could have pushed up the transfer fee to €25 million (N12.3 billion).

Still, Almeria were not impressed and refused to approve the deal, deciding instead to retain the services of the former AS Roma forward.

Despite his well-known dreams of playing in the Spanish La Liga, Sadiq has largely been unaffected by the rumours linking him to move away from Estadio de Los Juegos Mediterráneos. The ex-Rangers loanee already has a goal and an assist in three league matches for Almeria this term.

Fake news

Getafe no even get 16 million for your info

You think say na epl team abi

Nigeria won the game but you must always look for a fault

If you dont like aina say it with your full chest, dude hardly got bad games for the eagles but you guys must look for a way to attack him indirectly, even if naija won liberia 7-0 you will still come and make noise about how ebuehi is not playing , you should be happy we got the 3 points , i am sure ebuehi will start at cape verde so that most of you will keep quiet

The hate for aina who has done nothing wrong is so irritating
I would not be surprised seeing someone praying for Nigeria downfall anytime Aina is playing....

Honestly I don't see any much difference between Ebuehi and Aina, anyone of them good for me.

My wish is to have Ebuehi as RB/RWB and Aina as LB/LWB cos I don't rate both Collins and Sanusi though my opinion.

Nacho is a better finisher than most strikers in the EPL,he had the best goal per game ratio in the EPL as a 19 year old, and he had the second best last season

Oh so you know this?

I'm glad you are coming out of the shell gradually. The next bold step is to admit that you were wrong calling him a liability in the last game.

A game that had well-able Ndidi and Aribo in the midfield and we needed precision upfront for an early goal. Then you went ahead and called the most clinical striker a liability.

Travesty! Buhari must hear this! grin
