And about the abdominal influenza thingy, well, it's not a flu like one may have with the kind that affects the human respiratory system (nose, lungs and throat).

This one affects the intestines (large and small) and causes abdominal pains/cramps, diarrhoea, fever and vomiting.

It's known more appropriately as Viral Gastroenteritis. Abdominal influenza is just another way to term it.

Stomach flu is kinda the easiest layman definition for it.
