Every player reporting for National team call up faces the same thing with his club its not like Dennis' case is special, I don't see how CAF is at fault the Afcon was scheduled for a favorable weather or should we schedule our Afcon during the rainy season to please the European clubs?

It is not about pleasing anybody. It is about not putting your players at a disadvantage.

DO you know how many coaches refuse to sign African players because of AFCON? How many African players that have lost deals to better clubs that would have increased their careers but for AFCON? Weather is not an excuse, South America has similar weather but they make it work because they want the best for their players careers.

His goals per minutes when given the opportunity to play has been more than sufficient currency to buy that right with change..

and when that right isn't given in Kelechi's case his output suffers! It is a vicious cycle really and I think he ought to leave the club if he wants to realise his potential, whatever that might be.

Bros, do you know if this Chukwuemeka in Aston Villa is on our AFCON shortlist? The boy is a magician with the ball. We need to cap him before England does.

Because of one tournament that was held in June in Egypt, you are making it sound like the AFCON has never always been a January- February tournament....

In my opinion, the best thing is for CAF to move the tournament to every 4 years... It will give room for enough preparation... We can introduce something like a Nations league in between....

Mind you, the Asia cup is also held in January because of climatic concerns...

Ighalo is gone we need integrate awoniyi,Dennis,Lookman into the super eagles starting from next afcon
are you surprised that my predictions have been spot on? I know Rohr's philosophy and his philosophy is the reason he is the longest serving coach in Nigeria. Eguaveon, siasia, lagerback,Berti voghts, oliseh,Salisu,Amokaxhi et Al all tried and failed. That job is not easy

CAF won't allow it due to greed...
Since 2010, they have struggled to stage the AFCON in the originally planned country due to one issue or the other... Moving it to every 4 years will give them more time to prepare for it...

Imagine, they went ahead and voted for a 2 years world cup plan....

90% of international coaches have not won a tea cup too. Rohr qualified Gabon to AFCON, qualified Nigeria for AFCON twice and on course to us for world cup twice, plus an AFCON bronze. Rohr is decent but doesn't look like the Messiah. I don't like the way Rohr's critics blow things out of proportion.

He didn't qualify Gabon to any AFCON... It was a tournament they co-hosted with Equatorial Guinea...

Qualifying Nigeria for two AFCON and a world cup is nothing special because he isn't the first to do it...
The man has no coaching pedigree or whatever...

Under normal circumstances, yes, it is a flimsy excuse.

However, remember that if he goes to this tournament, his club (which pays his salary) will lose his services. During that time, the club could purchase a player to replace him and he could lose his place in the squad entirely. His club could also lose all their games and be set for relegation due to his absence. At the end, it would be to what purpose? To sit on the bench for a coach that doesn't rate him.

Las las, it's all CAFs fault. They should not be holding AFCON at this kind of time. For me, any player that is not assured of theirs and their clubs safety shouldn't honor AFCON invitation because it will affect their long term stability and development as a player.
Dennis is not d only inform player going to d afcon,
Thank God he has quickly denied d statement ,it would have affected his international career .

The teams you are called are not doing well because they are inexperienced. Experienced team in Europe are ruling Europe today they are Portugal, France and Italy. The 2013 squad that won AFCON the on inexperienced players in the the were Omeruo and Onazi, others have been playing professionally for years
. You love arguing without substance and fact. Sunday Mba was inexperienced player and not known .

That’s why Iheanacho can’t be selected as a striker. Gbam

Let me refresh your memory. Awoniyi has a goal bound shot saved by the keeper.

Did Mbappé and Pele had a shot on target for their respective National team before they made their debut?
oga you nailed it sir. Don't stress your point with that guy. He can argue for Africa lol
