80' Corner, Borussia Dortmund. Conceded by Jamilu Collins.

90' + 2' Goal! Borussia Dortmund 3, SC Paderborn 07 3. Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund) header from very close range to the high centre of the goal. Assisted by Jadon Sancho with a cross.

JAMILU COLLINS did had a hand in 3 goals. 1. An assist for his team

2. Conceded the corner kick leading up to the 1st goal for Dortmund

3. Committed the 1st foul before another follow up foul from teammate lead to the 2nd goal for Dortmund

Also bagged a yellow card in between before his team succumbed on the 92nd minute to the equalizer.

We still don't know how many attacking forays were quashed by him (Jamilu Collins). So, your submission may not be entirely true

What were you expecting though?
Not expecting much anyway because it is the case of 3rd best Beach soccer team in the world-Portugal vs the 21st ranked Team-Nigeria

So what shall befell us when we face the Number 1 ranked Team-Brazil in the same group with us alongside Oman.

The scoreline is just scary for a team that had gotten to the quarter final in 2007 & 2011 indeed and in truth.

We have not improved since 2011. In Portugal, they have a beach soccer league and same with some other countries. This means, they are producing better players every year.

I watched the game to a good extent. He defended the first and conceeded a corner. He did his job defending. It is not his fault that paderborn conceeded from a corner. Abi na only him go defend cornerkick? So his involvement in that first Dortmund goal is invalid. You cannot blame Collins on anything as regards that.

And he conceeded a foul that did not lead to a goal. His team mate conceeded a foul and a goal came afterwards. How is that Collins' fault?

Biko your analysis based off some match readings is off. Me I saw the game. If Collins had errors that led to goals conceeded today, he would not command such high ratings. And I watched it and can tell you that he had no errors that led to goals today. Finito.

Collins had a very good game today and kept Paderborn in the game with his defending and willingness to get into duels. Can't begin to count how many times he put his body in to prevent a Dortmund attack from getting through.

The commentary was exactly how he was involved after they were leading 3:0 from the first half.

Dortmund with 8 shorts off target 7 on target in total

Paderborn had 4 shorts off and on target respectively

Dortmund 67% possession and Paderborn had 33%

So, JAMILU only had ineffective shots, blocks and tackles essentially since his team ended up losing a 3 Goal lead.

For even having a hand in the first 2 come back Goals against his team alone, His Supposed blocks and tackles have been rendered useless at the end because they failed where and when they are to count most

A good performance from him going by your reckoning already but still on still, he could just be battling the title of the best between himself and ECHIEJILE though

And never in the class of CELESTINE, TAIWO or UDEZE as a left footed lb.

So, the search light should be beamed on the NPFL for a left footed lb and we can be lucky with such an adventure Tru and tru

Agreed there is no definite League in place but a scandalous 10 : 1 is just too much a defeat to swallow honestly.

He had a great game going by the reckoning of Whoscored and every major site. Not just me. So that leaves you alone in the cold especially with the indisputable fact that you didn't even see the game.

You obviously must be joking comparing Echiejile to Collins. Collins is better upgrade on Echiejile biko.

And who says he is in the class of Babayaro or Taiwo?? Who please? Some of you would just jump into a discussion and start manufacturing statements.

What have I been saying here vocally Since the day of the Brazil friendly? Obviously you missed that coz you joined the thread after that.

I said and I repeat yet again, we need an Upgrade on Collins in the LB role. But for now, he is decent and can still fill in putting in decent shifts but he needs a solid upgrade and strong Left footed competition to push him to his limits or beyond. And until we can get that LB upgrade on Collins, Collins remains in the picture and fairly too. Lad is doing well in Germany. It is his team that is poor as a whole.

That is what I have maintained alongside the simple fact that he is a decent enough talent and definitely better than Elderson Echiejile. It is funny you even remember Elderson.

And what makes you think our LB upgrade answer lies in the NPFL? You make me laugh. You think one of the left backs playing in the NPFL can come and better Collins? Please identify one. If he is that good, he wont be that hidden.

Roma loanee Umar Sadiq continued his rich vein of form after scoring a hat-trick as Partizan Belgrade hammered Javor Ivanjica 6-2 on game week 17 in the Serbian Super Liga on Friday evening.

After spending four years as a professional, the former Nigeria U23 international has netted the first hat-trick of his career.

At minute 9, Sadiq restored parity for Partizan and made it 3-1 in favour of the home team eight minutes before half-time.

In the 59th minute, the lanky striker slotted home when goalkeeper Dorde Lazovic spilled a shot taken by Miletic into his path.

Sadiq's tally of three goals vs Javor Ivanjica took his haul for the season to 13 goals across all competitions consisting of 10 in the Super Liga and 3 in the Europa League including the qualifying rounds.

The 22-year-old is now the joint top scorer in the Serbian top flight along with Javor's Nikola Petkovic, and needs only two more assists to become the first Nigerian player based in Europe to reach double figures for goals and assists in the league this season.

He has contributed to 22 goals (13 goals, 9 assists) from 24 games in all competitions so far this season.

You obviously got me wrong to a large extent.

When I said-Going by your reckoning, It doesn't necessarily mean your own particular viewpoint submitted after watching because the stats posited by yourself did came from Whoscored like you quoted along side other sites like you yet again referred.

COLLINS is still in competition with ECHIEJILE and that is my personal viewpoint

I didn't claim that you said COLLINS is in the class of the trio of BABAYARO, TAIWO and UDEZE but I just said he (COLLINS) is never in their class and so, Any Player that is to Man NIGERIA'S Left full back as a Left footer must and should be in their class range absolutely.

I have certainly missed your post Brazil vs Nigeria comment indeed

I'm pleased you also admitted that COLLINS needs an upgrade because a natural Left footer in COLLINS can't be that good as you rate him to now be having a serious competition from a right footed player in OLA AINA honestly speaking. He does definitely needs an upgrade to come to the fore soonest

You still believe that COLLINS is better than ECHIEJILE but I am claiming they are the same and should be fighting for Who is better between themselves as natural Left footers in football defense settings

Again, Well is the word coming up from me and that is because the likes of [b] CELESTINE BABAYARO, TAIYE TAIWO & UDEZE came into limelight from the home front during their days And the home front in this Era has the NPFL as the key following the failures of the various age grade groups that should have probably given us hope in the regard of left footed full backs among others by their exhibition/b].

Above all, We are absolutely on the same page but what I am personally all out for is that COLLINS is not worth any hyping going by his natural nature of being Left footed

What a decent output from the 24 appearances on his shoulders.

This are the kinds of delightful STORIES and NEWS we should be getting in other to put VICTOR OSIMHEN on his toes that a similar character is hanging around for his shirt as deputy.

Although Club form is not always being reproduced at National Team level by certain Players but good Club form is always a good yardstick for International invitation especially in this ROHR's regime

First of all, Echiejile is history and good riddance too. Please move over the guy. He is not available anymore for us or is he?

And Collins is not being hyped. I just stand by fair analysis on the true state of the lad's quality. He is good but not excellent and excellent is what we need. Does agreeing he needs an upgrade suddenly translate to being hyped? I just don't get that at all.

All this epistle just to bring Collins and a retired below average Echiejile into one place is funny.

Please did you watch Collins vs Dortmund? Did you watch him against Bayern Munich earlier this season? Have you bothered watching any of Collins' games in Germany? Funny.

Collins had a very fine game against Dortmund and practically pocketed Jason Sancho for a good portion of the game, especially in the first half. He held his own against Dortmund and was among Paderborn's two best players on the pitch.

Collins is decent. Pretty decent in fact and has been very consistent in the bundesliga for Paderborn. Until a better LB who will be that sweet upgrade on Collins comes along, deal with the fact that Collins is good enough for now and is a couple of classes above the Echiejile you keep yapping about. Finito.

100th Premier League Appearance : Ndidi Will Not Break A Nigerian Record Held By Chelsea Legend

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is set to make his 100th Premier League appearance for Leicester City when they tackle Brighton & Hove on Saturday, November 23, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

If the Foxes number 25 steps out onto the American Express Community Stadium, he will be aged 22 years, 11 months and 7 days and won't have the honour of being the youngest Nigerian player to reach a 100-game milestone in the Premier League.

Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel became the youngest Nigerian player in history to make 100 appearances in the Premier League when he started against Arsenal on February 7, 2010, aged 22 years, 9 months and 16 days, a record that still stands to this day.

Chelsea-owned winger Victor Moses came close to breaking the record during the 2013-2014 season while on loan at Liverpool, making his 100th appearance in the Premier League against Sunderland on September 29, 2013, aged 22 years, 9 months and 17 days.

Celestine Babayaro, Alex Iwobi, Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Shola Ameobi all made their 100th appearance in the Premier League before they turned 24.

With 298 appearances to his name, former Newcastle United and Crystal Palace striker Ameobi holds the Nigerian record for the most Premier League appearances.

Bringing in ECHIEJILE into the discuss doesn't mean I am making him available for selection ooo. At all! That wasn't the case

But to buttress how much I rate COLLINS presently. That personally, COLLINS is at per with the retired average (or below average) left footed Left full back that ECHIEJILE was.

Well I consider rating COLLINS over and above ECHIEJILE as hyping though for they are of the same standard to me.

Bringing COLLINS and ECHIEJILE into one place certainly is not funny oo but simple objectivity is why. Unless he proves me otherwise with his future outings for NIGERIA. As that's always the yardstick I refer in rating both of them since they never or will ever play for the same clubs

Even if I have never watched any of his matches in Germany already, The end result of a club's performance is the reflection of the club's individual Player's input. That is why I always blame EMERY for ARSENAL's woes for Team selection rather than the results. (But he still cannot be excused because it is his deficiency in making the right selection that leads to the final poor output).

If COLLINS did had a decent 1st half, then his capitulation in the 2nd lead to his team's collapse because SANCHO really had a near perfect second half against him (COLLINS) since JADON was involved in 2 Goals for his team's come back as could be figured from the below

47' Goal! Borussia Dortmund 1, SC Paderborn 07 3. Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the centre of the goal. Assisted by Achraf Hakimi.

76' Attempt blocked. Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund) right footed shot from the right side of the box is blocked.

76' Attempt saved. Julian Brandt (Borussia Dortmund) right footed shot from outside the box is saved in the top left corner. Assisted by Jadon Sancho.

80' Corner, Borussia Dortmund. Conceded by Jamilu Collins.

87' Attempt missed. Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund) right footed shot from the left side of the box is close, but misses the top right corner. Assisted by Axel Witsel.

90' + 2' Goal! Borussia Dortmund 3, SC Paderborn 07 3. Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund) header from very close range to the high centre of the goal. Assisted by Jadon Sancho with a cross.

Yes COLLINS is decent as a Left footer competing with OLA AINA who is right footed until a better left footed full back comes into the frame of excellence like we used to have before now as great ambassadors. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

You cannot rate as the same with another, a player you have hardly watched at his club side. And you surely cannot form a more informed opinion about a player you have never watched in the bundesliga.

And @bolded.... A club performing poorly does not always reflect the quality of just one player. How can you form an opinion of a player based off his club's general output? Is this one player a CF, MF and GK all at same time in combination with being a Left back?? I find this your analysis very off-tangent indeed. A player can do his job well in a role and the team still fails. It has happened many times over and it is still happening.

Harry Maguire was bought from Hull City who were relegated in 2015 and he went to Leicester. Today we can see that Leicester indeed saw a decent talent in a poor Hull team. He is now at Manchester Utd and leading the charge for England as Assistant Captain.

If we are to go by your logic of a poor team reflecting each individual as poor too then it means Maguire was never a decent talent but a poor one. He should never have been spotted and bought by Leicester and he should not be making the progress he is making now.

This was how someone on Twitter told me something funny. He said, if Osimhen were as good, then Lille should be beating Chelsea. He says Osimhen should be the singular reason Lille should beat Chelsea if he is any good at all. The person was a Chelsea fan and obviously a fan of Tammy. I laughed and replied... "Okay, fine. Going by your logic, it means then that Messi is nonsense because if Messi too is any good, then Barca should not lose 4-0 to Liverpool after taking a 3-0 lead from the first leg. And CR7 is also crap since he was onfield and Portugal lost to Ukraine."

(Note: This was during an international break on the day Portugal took on Ukraine and lost in a Euro qualifier game).

That ended the argument.

A team can perform badly but does it suddenly mean all of the players are bad? Of course not. So again, this logic of yours does not sit well at all.

@ The Nerdy Nerd, even if I didn't watched COLLINS play, but at least I made reference to some parts of the commentary on the game as it affects him and the person he was supposed to be marking na and how the guy had the upper hand.

About MAGUIRE reference, Until Paderborn goes on relegation at the end of the season (For it is beginning to reflect that as their bound haven lost an important ground carelessly) and COLLINS gets saved by good and potential suitors oo like HARRY's before I would concede that analogy oo

You cannot use written commentary to analyse what is really happening in a game. To watch reveals much more than what you read off a summarised commentary. Written commentary didn't tell you how he kept Sancho quiet for a good portion of the game. Did it? It didn't show you the key tackles and blocks he made. Did it? Is this how you watch your football? It is laughable please.

About the maguire reference... It simply punctured your theory stating that a team performing poorly means everyone (in that team) is performing poorly. This logic of yours is so unanalytical and does not sit well with the happenings of the football world.

Finally, Collins doesn't have to be at a bayern or Madrid to show you anything. He is easily one of Paderborn's best players. One of the best players in a really poor team. That is a fact. Just deal with the fact that we can actually find good players even in a team performing so woefully. Finito.

Agreed that one cannot probably be opportuned to watch every game of football due to one reason or another. So resorting to documented minutes by minutes commentaries like those from goal.com that I copied those hints from wouldn't be a bad idea now. Isn't it?

Besides, Whoscored that you referenced even named SANCHO as the Man of the Match as well-meaning that he must have over tortured COLLINS from the below inspite of being the second best player after their 2 Goals scorer.

Yes a team's performance is based on the individual input from the Players concerned and in this case, JADON did used COLLINS to shine to the point of even being named as the Man of the Match and COLLINS couldn't cage SANCHO

I didn't say COLLINS must be in Madrid nor Bayern to be acknowledged as an excellent Player though because his teammates in the SE are not in such set ups before they are being acknowledged as excellent too. Collins is at present a Nigerian footballer in football carpentry faculty. Unless (like I said before) proves me wrong in his future SE engagement

Jamilu Collins finished as Paderborn's second highest rated player today according to Whoscored with a 7.9 rating and he is among the game's overall top 5 performers as his side played out a 3-3 draw away at Borussia Dortmund. Paderborn threw away a three nil lead as Dortmund's obviously high quality shone through....

Collins was also the game's no. 1 in tackles won (Won 7 tackles). He topped in recoveries stats and he created two chances for his team today.

This is the reason why "the Collins is absolute crap" club don't seem so keen on talking about his performance today after the final whistle. Lol

Not forgetting he lost possession the most among Paderbon players. He had a good game in terms of tackles and interceptiondbut he lost the ball so much coming forward it became annoying.

Lol.... Again your analysis is off-colour. It is funny talking about a game you didn't watch. Sancho didn't torture nada! Collins pocketed him the whole of the first half. Sancho only came into the game in the second half and his goal and assist didn't come as a result of torturing Collins. Sancho even switched wings (and roles) at some points. Please you have spoken enough things out of ignorance already yet you insist on spilling more ignorance on a game you didn't see. Lol

Abeg.... Collins, who was tortured according to you, made a 7.9 Whoscored rating (the second best in the Paderborn side). How do you explain that based on your shallow numbers-only, selected-commentary-only analysis of a game you didn't see... Oya explain naa... Lol

And please stop saying that ill-informed statement about a team's poor performance means everybody on the team is poor too. It is absolutely false abeg. A team can be poor and still have one or two above average individuals whose efforts and fine individual performances are just not enough to make their team win. Stop shifting the goal posts by using Sancho.

Look... Collins is our NT Left full back and fairly so. He is decent and remains a good talent. If someone better comes along, fine... He falls down the pecking order but right now... He stays on merit. I cannot allow your carpentry analysis soil the true analysis of a player balling consistently in the bundesliga.
Speaking about a game you never saw.... My friend, that is Carpentry and Metalworks analysis. grin

In offensive positions, players like him need support, if he doesn't get it, he is bound to lose the ball. And I believe you exaggerate. He didn't lose Possession the most among his teammates. Same game saw him creating the joint most chances among his team mates if not more.

I watched yesterday's game. Sancho was not on Collins' wing in the second half. It seems like Favre gave Sancho the freedom to roam the pitch as he created chances from the right and left parts of the pitch simultaneously and scored from the center. In the second half he played more like a 10.

Thank you. You are close enough. Like I said, Sancho did switch positions. Sancho didn't find Joy facing Collins in that first half. This is why I prefer people who watch a game analysing it rather than someone who didn't watch insisting on giving analytical opinions and second guessing with just stats reports and some summarised commentary.

Kbs468, Biko next time, watch Collins before you come writing Epistles upon epistles of faulty analysis on the dude. Merci. That is the highest form of Carpentry analysis. grin

Alright Bro. That means, Post Match stats shouldn't be wholly believed and taken seriously henceforth then.

Once one didn't watch a game, then stats reports wouldn't certainly necessarily be resorted to 100% for they doesn't give a true reflection of the Match proceedings absolutely.

Or is it because I didn't copy out all the match commentaries but only decided to fish out all activities involving both of SANCHO and COLLINS.?

With regard to the penultimate paragraph above, the only exception would be if Goals are scored by Nigerian Players while if it is scored against them, then their performance would be difficult to get hold of indeed.

grin grin grin grin grin grin grin like I said, unless we would stop believing stats info whenever one wasn't opportuned to watch a game live though because even the Whoscored commentaries didn't do anything different from what goal.com did minute by minute of which I copied the minutes involving only SANCHO and COLLINS while leaving out others since it didn't affect them instead of copying out everything minutes by minutes

The former part of the Match according to Whoscored is even refusing to load from my phone though.

Talking about leaving analysis of games to only those that watched means that most of the various submissions being made alot in here are invalid then if we are to go by your pegged standpoint already as most are based on post Match stats by others like we are referencing on daily basis

Oga abeg, you too like long talk. All your talks were built on ignorance of what really went on in the game. You made lots of wrong assumptions based on second guessing using stats and written commentary. That is Carpentry analysis of the first order. grin

Next time, watch a game before dropping lengthy Epistles filled with wrong analyses inugo? At least, you have learnt your lessons. Happy weekend. wink
