He better be on his way out. The Everton fans dragged him during the break all b'cos he was travelling and posted a pic of it. I tire for their fanbase. If Iwobi is really on the market, he won't lack suitors unless Everton wanna use him as a makeweight in a deal for a another winger within the EPL. Time will tell.

Iwobi knows he has to play this 2020/21 or he face losing his place in the NT. It's make or break.

Danielnino00:

Can't find any news of him being injured or not fit.
So it's either he has been frozen totally by Ancelloti or he is on his way out of the club...

Give iwobi a break. He plays better for nigeria and thats good enough. Do you realize that iwobi has over 7 in 40 for nigeria and is on course to score more goals than okocha, kanu, oruma, obodo etc for nigeria. Even the likes of dele ali hasn't scored up to 7 goals for England. Iwobi best position is Support striker or attacking midfielder not on the wings

Growing up those days, the sitting room was never big enough for us to celebrate a goal. We usually ran out into the passage way and run back in again grin grin grin grin grin

Some times we even ran out of the house if it was a BIG GOAL. grin grin grin grin

How many can relate grin
I can

We lived at the 5th flatin a 6flat Abesan Estate. We normalized running down the stairs to the down floor to join people to celebrate a goal, then run back up with our funny accents, drink water. Sit back again. My bro always slept off b4 full time. Not cos the game was boring, but cos the exercise was...... grin

Imagine hearing a whole estate chorusing Goaaaaaaallll together.

Everton are playing Salford city on the Cup.

Suprised Iwobi is not even on the bench, that is cause for concern. However, if he is injured then it is understandable.

People were insulting me here because I tried to make a decent case for him. KOMEKN swore he is a mediocre player that is why he couldn't get a club. Charles emeka , shemba etc jubilated at the struggles of a young boy from Africa...tufia!

You did not make a decent case you made a delusional misguided sentiment over hype case for him.

He was never going to get a work permit, he has never made the grade for that.

He had opportunity in the Eredivisie and even dropped to second tier Eerste Divisie but still found wanting. Could not make any impression on Porto B.

So all those long convoluted excuses are not unique to him. Every player goes through challenges it's how you respond to them that proves your QUALITY.

He is now in a club that he contributed little or nothing to their promotion. And anytime he kicks a ball you shout excellence.

Then compare him to players who have been doing FAR FAR BETTER over the past 3/4 seasons. Thats naked bias and preference favoritism.

He is a teenager, 19 years old with multiple clubs seeking to sign him in the EPL.

Thats quite a lot of interest for a youth player who hasn't really played any first team football.

Nerd , let's be a tad honest to ourselves. I know you love Iwobi and all but the boy has not measured up after countless opportunities he got with Arsenal and now Everton. If you were a coach would you sign Iwobi ? Nigga shoots like a pregnant woman. Initially I thought we found a gem but as time progressed it became very clear he was a flash in the pan. I am not hating on Iwobi, after all his home town Onicha is next to mine. But truth must be said.

Maybe because he is an African.

One thing that JJay lacked for all his undoubted EXCEPTIONAL ability he just did not score enough goals to truly cement his place as would class top draw player.

And l don't think he got any accolades from African football unlike Kanu and Ikpeba. So if he is not given the highest accolades in Africa do we expect the Europeans to do what we did not do for him.

So that idea because he is " African" is open to never ending debate.

Common sense is after all not so common but let's make things clearer for your obvious poor comprehension skills and thought process. Nwakali 's challenges are peculiar to him and you must not judge or rate him with the same tools you used with your borough boys. Example is Chuba Akpom. In spite the fact he is crap the boy has continued to enjoy club football across Europe. And ,you know why this is so ? Because he is an English man with a British passport and that factor eases things up for him. So is Solanke and co with below average talent.

You cant compare a boy who had absolutely nothing growing up to these English boys with endless opportunities and privileges. But , in some occasions you could find these African teenagers do find success as you can see with Osimhen, Chukwueze etc but we cant downplay the challenges they face and the mountains of odds against them. I shouldn't have to spell these things out. Nothing else penetrates your brains but the crap you type here.

Chief sir, thank you for taking us back the memory lane.
I think our old papas are more passionate than we the young fellas when it comes to SE matches.
I can still remember my old man sharing drinks when Iwobi scored the winner against Cameroon at AFCON '19.
I even remember our qualifier match against same Cameroon when we hammered them 4-0 ,this very old man was shouting and jumping screaming goal when Mikel scored only to ask me if it is naija that truly scored. Lolz.
There is even a particular man that can pay the viewing fee for up to 10 peoples whenever the SE is playing.
I must admit nowadays, football is now watched by impassionate 'Gambling ' youth . Lolz
Dem go score your team and you go scream happily just because your GG enter.

Foe someone who claims to be living in Houston Texas, l am baffled. Even with the awareness in the mainstream of " black lives matter " you still are TOTALLY IGNORANT.

Because you are English and black you will face continous and consistent discrimination whether you like it or not. THERE IS NO UNDUE PRIVILEGE. There is still a preference at the highest levels of football.

You overcome because you have shown you are outstandingly BETTER and overcome all the subjective preferences for white players.

Today ( believe it or not) l was talking with a former EPL manager and he is yet to get a club to manage. Meanwhile people like Moyes, who have not done as good as him get jobs easily. Thats the reality of being black in the UK there is no UNDUE PRIVILEGE.

Boys coming from Africa to Europe do have one advantage that gives them a somewhat devious advantage.

They are willing to sign any kind of contract in desperation. Boys born in England will not and as such agents will find African origin players more attractive to get into clubs and get a much bigger peace of the pie. Football is corrupt, this is normal.

Finally, there is nothing peculiar or unique about the FAILURES of Nwakali. He just did not perfom and has not since historical youth football glories.

He is playing in Huesca, will he be outstanding in the league or in his club only time will tell, meanwhile there is very long way to go for him.

We go for mediocre coaches because those are the kind of coaches our FAs can afford.

At best they keep recycling foreign coaches with experience on the continent.

What is the use of Hiring a coach you cannot pay?
Spot on. Funds is a major problem, and I think our own local coaches aren't ambitious enough

Iwobi is not a bad player. The truth is it is only Rohr that seems to know how to use him. As a #10 we see the best of Iwobi, and that is why he has been good in the GWG on the overall than at Club level. Iwobi has not been properly utilised in his preferred role by club coaches. They always push him to the wings. A technically gifted player like him who thrives on operating centrally between "enemy" lines in the final third, linking up with his attackers and finding them in spaces with his vision and opening up spaces with his quick passing interchanges..... has been enduring wing football even when his strengths doesn't really lie there. But b'cos he wants to play, he has to try adapt and that he did.

Honestly, this whole stereotyping of the Black African cerebral playmakers trying to make them wingers or something else other than Number 10 has been going on in Europe for a long time now. They always see our African lads as Physical, Pacy and full of raw power... You hear it from the commentators. Even after we take on European teams and beat them black and blue, they will never admit they were beaten by a technically sound team... They will always say they were beaten by a team that has great physical advantage and qualities. Rubbish!!!

This is the problem being faced by our African Playmakers abroad. This is why we have so few of them thriving like Ziyech.

What stops Carlo from trying Iwobi out as a #10? But these guys just assume a white guy will do it better coz a white guy is meant to be the technical one... While the black guy offers raw power and physical traits hence should be pushed to the wings or to DM or to defence. Nonsense.

So Idennaa... This is really not about Iwobi's talents coz that lad is really talented. This is about how the coaches use him and so far only Gernot Rohr has been able to get the best out of Iwobi in the Post-Wenger period.

And no, this is not me making an excuse for Iwobi. You do your research on our African Playmakers who go to Europe and come tell me how many make it. This is why I am particular about K.Nwakali at Huesca. He is one of the very few playmaker talents we have in Europe right now and he will thrive b'cos he is not restricted to just the #10 role... His skillsets enables him thrive as a deeplying playmaker which is something not so common even among the elite European midfielders as only the likes of Jorginho, Fabian Ruiz, Thiago Alcantara and a few others are in that class of DLPs.

Even Ebere Eze, another classic #10 has to adapt his game to be able to play from the wings. This is one of the reasons he didn't exactly shine yesterday. And Eze is no CM, neither can he play DLP. Eze is restricted to just the #10 and SS roles. And if he doesn't play there and is constantly pushed to the wings, he too will be f*cked.
But in Nwakali and lads like Aribo and Ejaria... These guys are adaptable. Nwakali can fill in at AM, CM but he thrives more at DLP.

Aribo can play AM and CM comfortably. He has the lungs for a Box-to-box role too.

Ejaria can play AM, and CM too. Also plays from the left too like at Reading.

But restricted Playmakers like Iwobi and Eze will struggle for Consistency if not played in their true roles super consistently. They may adapt to the wings roles for a while but their natural role will always be their natural roles.

This is a problem I have noticed for a while and discussed elsewhere. But now I mention it here because I feel it is about time.

Arsenal is crazy to ask for such amount. How many senior games has Folarin even played? How many EPL goals sef?

I like that Folarin kid and I want him out of Arsenal ASAP but it seems Arsenal is playing hard ball. I personally feel Folarin is better than Nketiah having watched both but Nketiah is just the lucky one. Folarin needs a place where he will continue his growth and be given first team opportunities abeg and not this thing Arsenal is doing with him.

Arsenal is not crazy slapping that amount on him. When Brewster's valuation by Liverpool is 25M with no first team action, just like Balgoun.
