This Tunisian team are so ass mehn. They play just like the Egyptian team without the threat of Salah. Ultra defensive, play on the counter only to lose the ball once they get to the 3rd half.

For all the talks about North African teams being the Roll Royce of African football, they have been disappointing so far.

This isn't accurate... Salah didn't play from the flanks but the middle...

Yes, he played from the center.

No ooo they will take it down. I have disputed the situation sha. Fifa has been doing this nonsense with CAF competitions since the world cup qualifiers. I was even thinking it was personal since other people posted their own.

Looks like this Mali Vs Tunisia referee is under the influence of Mkpuru mmili. He has ended the match twice and it's not even up to 90 min. What a shameful representation of African Football.

Asides the referee controversy the game was okay. Malian GK the hero today.

Tunisia vs Mali ref need to be sanctioned. Stopped match @ 85th minute and 89th minutes didn't even add extra time... Gave a harsh red card.

Who told you Tammy Abraham made a wrong decision ?

I guess rudiger that posted Sierra Leone regretted playing for Germany ?

Asides what he posted, he's had a couple of interview where you can almost infer he would have chosen to play with Nigeria in hindsight.

Wasn't ok jare. If the highlight of the game is the performance of the ref then that tells you all you need to know how the game went.

We gave Nigeria too much respect – Carlos Queiroz
Coach Carlos Queroz spoke about his team’s Afcon defeat to the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday.

The former Real Madrid coach watched in horror as his wards bowed to far superior Super Eagles in the Group D opener played at the Stade Omnisport Roumdeé Adija, Garoua, Cameroon.

The Pharaohs had a sloppy start, while Super Eagles settled into the game quickly and dictated the tempo.

Kelechi Iheanacho scored the winner in the 34th minute. The Leicester City’s forward controlles Joe Aribo header in the box before firing past the goalkeeper.

The Egyptians never recovered from the set back and Super Eagles maintained their lead untill the final whistle.

Queiroz hinted that, his players showed Nigeria too much respect and should have played better.

“We respect Nigeria a lot, we didn’t play well in the first half. In the second half, we dominated. We lost the ball very quick, we lost cohesion, but in the second half after the first half conversation, we played and control the game.”

Egypt remain bottom of the Group with 0 points, while Nigeria is leading with three points.

The other game between Sudan and Guinea-Bissau ended without a goal.

Should be banned from refereeing for a very long time by CAF.

I think Moses was used at that wing due to the threat of Salah

Yeah but eventually, Salah was deployed more centrally though. Almost like a CF. Probably was part of the Egyptian coach's undoing.
