Lookman has been terrible in d first half..his deliveries hv bn frustrating to say d least...we need to move d ball quicker and sustain d pressure, we r so susceptible to guinea counter attacks

Osimhen urging the guys to mark the fullbacks from the front. But they didn't listen. If they had, that long ball that lead to the goal won't happen.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:00pm On Mar 24, 2023
Only 1 shot on target in first half. Only 1 shot from Nigeria the whole game. Only 3 chances created.

The Midfield we paraded vs this same Guinea Bissau at Afcon 2021 is way better than this one operating vs Guinea Bissau today and 1 of them playing today played centrally that same day. So what's the problem? Personnel deployment.

You can only take shots when you have the capacity. You cannot give what you don't have.

Are you saying Iheanacho, Lookman, and Iwobi can't take shots? shocked

Because these guys were in good positions to test the keeper.

If perseiro is not careful,
he might be sacked even before the nations cup.
Let him continue to do rubbish
Im not watching the match
but maybe the lack of enough midfielders is the problem.
And the obsession with playing iheanacho in midfield has to stop.
Our coach does not know his players or the right way to use them.
We will probably struggle to a 2 1 win
and loose or draw away
But Peseiro might be sacked before the nations cup if this nonsense of his continues

sack ke? forget it.
Once you 'cooperate' with NFF, you can lose 20 consecutive matches and there will be nothing like sack letter. we Sabi as e dey go

Just look at the midfield shape

No cohesion

Shapeless

Falls too deep and choke the defense

When we do win the ball too slow to get out from the back to start a counter

The pressing and marking are timed terribly

No coverage for a player who goes out to press

The players look like they don’t want to be here

Everything is just chaotic

Bro there were clean chances to shoot even if it doesn’t lead to goal

The goalie will parry and we don’t know what comes next

With the limited midfield we are parading, there's no way the wingers will be properly utilised in whatever damn front formation we are executing.

Bissau scored from a quick intelligent long ball/switch from deep inside their right channel to the attacking third. And they almost bagged a second through same strategy - Quickly switching plays to less concentrated zones.

Our own play switches have been slow and clueless.

Kelechi Nwakali or any player with similar skill set will
eventually make his way back to this team.
IT IS BADLY NEEDED.
Anyway they should bring in Frank Oyeka to bolster the midfield
I think this will be a blessing in disguise
We need to learn the hardway.
We need more natural midfielders

From the days of Rohr to the Eguaevon era, playing Iheanacho has cost us soooooo much. When will these lunatic coaches learn their lessons?

Play 3 solid midfielders and throw Kelechi away.
