What's d difference between this man and Eguaveon,Amuneke and Oliseh ?
In my opinion, Eguaveon and co is better than this man.
At least Eguaveon and co are cheaper and they can communicate better what everyone can understand.

'top form' top form top form top form. Chai! Nairaland sports section! Halaand started playing professionally in 2015,Saka 2018. Do the mathematics. No be by force to have opinion on everything on nairaland.

Unless you have a exclusive definition of top form that is birthed by yourself.

The players I mentioned were literally outstanding from day one and your unit of measurement is 5 -8 years.

Saka , Ssegnon, Raheem, Rashford, Bellingham, Sancho, etc hit the ground running, NO DELAY OUTSTANDING.

It didn't take these players I've mentioned 5 years plus to become OUTSTANDING and top notch players, how old is Jude Billingham, Mason Greenwood, Saka, Sancho, etc❓❓

At this point, I don't mind having nwakali a few good midfielders in NPLF in the midfield, Nwakali is slow but even Mikel Obi was, his talent is evident.

A game is mostly won in the midfield but we keep reminding our inept and clueless coaches how important it is to have performing midfielders in our team regardless of where they ply their trades.

Nwakali is a talent, every midfielder mustn't be a work horse,
we need midfielders with football sense who can make right passes in a split second.

Secondly, we don't have a coach and we seriously need one

Talent refers to oustanding ability, skill and in the context of football ⚽ exceptional performance.

Unfortunately Nwakali absolutely has none of these attributes, he is the figment of several delusional minds here.

He has remained in continuous perpetual mediocrity for the past 8 years. He has no business being in the SE.

At the end of the season his bankrupt team will either be relegated and or remain in doldrums of mediocrity at the bottom end of this poor quality Segundo division.

His team is filled with poor quality players and they will struggle in English league two.

An indicator of how well a player is doing is the amount of transfer interest the player can generate.

For instance £8 million offer rejected by Torino from West Ham for Ola Aina, Fulham among other clubs interested. Osayi wanted by several clubs in the EPL and he is playing in the retirement league.

But not one offer for the midfield maestro of European football ⚽ Nwakali, that in itself tells you he is poor quality.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru playing in league one for Sheffield Wednesday wanted by AC Milan.

That's what happens when you sack a coach without having a proper replacement. The problem with most Nigerians is pride. We don't have the money to hire a Grade A foreign coach but we had a Grade C coach who delivered on all the targets given to him by the NFF and ended up sending him away because of his style of play.

I'll keep saying this: When we're ready to progress in this country, we will. We're not ready at all.

Virtually every sector in this country is bleeding. Football cannot be an exception.

Rohr sacking is always viewed from one lens always. Barely do we focus on the effect it had on the team itself. That factory reset is mental. Besides, the quality of the replacement can be a booster to morale or otherwise. That's where Nff no get sense.

They better engage Renard before he signs for French Women's team. Smh

Oops. No money on ground to even settle this Peseiro. What an embarrassment!!

How come Arsenal didn't drag out a result against Everton a couple weeks ago

We are not talking about past results. What did ur eyes tell you? Did we create the most chances, yes or no? On a different day Osimhen, Samu, Onuachu and Moses would score their chances.

Guinea Bissau do not resemble a 118th ranked team. They are way better than that ranking and they are well coached.
Factors affected that Arsenal game. It was very obvious. From the coach's replacement to the discipline of Everton low block. You can't ever compare to this GB team cos they weren't even super close to discipline at the back. Yet.

Let's call a spade it's name. That is extremely poor. Nobody looks at efforts if it doesn't bring results, especially for two unequal teams like GB and Nigeria. Haba!

We can't continue to hope for acumen and pedigree when it is not useful on days like this. Which one is normal day, normal day? Even for the GB guys, the fact they almost score again is absolutely abnormal.

Lesotho put 3 past us over 2 legs. So what makes Guinea Bissau scoring abnormal? CAR, Seychelles and Madagascar, that's abnormal. Not Guinea Bissau. This is the same team that took Egypt to the wire and even had a clean goal cancelled.

Eguavon actually did 2 things right

1. Improve the creativity of our midfield
2. Bring in more creative players and passers into the team
However, he cannot read a game on time and make tactical changes
and that was his downfall
Also, against ghana he allowed himself to be confused and drop Nwakali
when we needed him in midfield.
Someone convinced him to try iheanacho in midfield and the stuff did not work
He could have continued with what he did in the afcon and stuck with nwakali given
iwobi was not available
FOR ALL HIS TACTICAL SHORT COMMINGS HE DID SOME BASIC THINGS RIGHT
I THINK AS USUAL BEFORE THE GAME AGAINST GHANA SOME PEOPLE WERE
INFLUENCING HIM TO MAKE FOOLISH DECISIONS LIKE TRYING TO
USE OGENYI ONAZI OR LOOKING FOR MUSA AND IGHALO UP AND DOWN
IF HE HAD DONE THE RIGHT THING AND NICKED THAT WORLD CUP
QUALIFIER, THE TEAM WILL AT LEAST BE BETTER THAN NOW IN TERMS OF MIDFIELD PLAY
HE EVEN SEEMS BETTER THAN POSEIRO
AS AVERAGE AS EGUAVON IS HE MAY BE BETTER THAN POSEIRO
AT LEAST 55% IS BETTER THAN 41% EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT EXCELLENCE
AS EGUAVON CANNOT READ A GAME AND HAS SOME DEFICIENCIES
AS PER POSEIRO I HOPE HE PROVES ME WRONG WITH TIME
IF HE DOES NOT WIN AGAINST GUINEA BUSAU AWAY THEN
HE WILL HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS

One habit our players have that affect the team's performance is their poor decision making on the ball.. Some are fond of holding on to the ball unnecessary.. Etebo is very guilty of that..in fact it's an aspect of his game that makes him a liability to the team.. His presence yesterday won't have made any difference...

I don't even think Rohr has been paid his outstanding salaries, yet alone, Peseiro.

At this point, Harve Renard would even prefer to coach Spain's Under 10 team than the Super Eagles. Not every coach can take the nonsense that the NFF is fond of.

Harve Renard is a quality coach. Why hasn't he ever applied for the Nigerian job, even when vacancies were open?

The thing is the NFF is already notorious for owing its coaches. That alone is enough to scare away quality coaches. Like I said earlier, Naija don cast.

Sorry, which Arsenal game are you referring to fes? Cos its the Goodison Park loss I'm using as context, which fits more than the Emirates win, which is why I'm analyzing from that POV. All the losses to lowbudget african teams all have one thing in common, unless we want to ignore the truth, the Super Eagles were poooor. Poor hence the loss.

Justified win against big teams is when that big team are doing what their reputation demands but they just couldn't break down the smaller team, and then the smaller team ends up winning (mostly not by fluke or slackness by the big team at the back)

That is why i use that Everton win against Arsenal. They deserved that win, albeit from a setpiece. Same can be used for some of Aston villa wins against some top 6 sides.

Let's not stretch this any further to find excuses for the Poor show of the Super Eagles.

Any big team finding it hard to crack down a low ranked team like GB that aren't even having discipline at the back is a sign of average performance. Simple!!

The Sierra Leone 4-4 is another example. I have nothing else to say.

I know some top coaches exhibit it, but this is one thing i dislike about local coaches-reading a game and effecting instant changes to stop the advantage the opponents have. That Pep interview made it worse cos, as you know nigerians, they'll want to believe you know what you're doing when you talk like that. Hence, you raised their hopes. See how the Abuja stadium was filled up that night. Only to see such display and something that hasn't happened in a long long while happened!! The riots

As hard as it seems, AE has a better outing than JPes. With what I'm seeing now, i doubt if Jpes could make SE qualify for WC if he was in charge of that Ghana 2 legged affair. His excuse is he's not done any afcon execution. But if this is how this looks, then imagine how devastating afcon performance will be

Conclusion: Two Clowns are handlers of our senior national teams and Pinnick gets the heavy blame on this.

Does Gusau inspire confidence right now? Imo-To early, but absolutely not!!

He better win the return leg. We lucky its not the 1st game.

If Nigeria was a serious country, all these NFF officials will be probed as to how funds getting into the federation account are being managed.. Nigeria national team participate in an international tournament almost every year and yhwse tournaments often come with financial incentives regardless of whether they win or not... Where are the funds going?
For instance, Nigeria is set to earn up to, if not more than $1m at the women world cup later this year even if we exist the group stage based on FIFA's revised prize money for the tournament... That amount should be enough to settle the players bonus and coaching staffs wages, but we will definitely hear something else later,..

PS: I have little to no knowledge about how funds earned for winning or participating in international tournaments though....

When your team is so poor you have a major share in that mediocrity.

If a player is getting great stats in our local NPFL do we then say he is La Liga level. So stats must be seen in context. I honestly believe 100% Bendel insurance will flog Ponferradina in a match.
