I know but that was a different time

These days, your national team achievements speaks greater volumes

No hating here bro, I'm just speaking facts

You are not speaking fact. Osimhen is the next APOTY✌️

Where are the facts? You've been asked several times to give instances when national team achievement was the major criteria CAF uses for APOTY, you haven't listed any..... So where are the facts? Why's Mahrez now in your list for favorites do the APOTY?

Can you shed some more light on this please.

Are you talking about the relationships between parents and coaches in Nigeria or in Italy please

Yes in Nigeria. My bro need to scout for real talented guys for his Italy stuff but parents on hearing Italy tried to influence things.

My point,Nigeria academy would soon become NPFL type if care is not taken due to favoritism….Imagine losing to Japan 6–1 when we have real boys out there in Enugu,Lagos,Warri,Jos and many cities.

Honestly, we can't really blame them... Many people are now looking for routes to Japa and start better lives abroad.. And it appears that some parents now see how viable a career in football can be in this age, unlike before when you go chop correct beating for playing football
Football as a career is all about talent but I have seen boys in academy that have no business going there.A very close friend took his son to academy paid huge money but it was obvious the boy can’t cut it.

The kids from rich homes are taking over while it takes grace for real guys to make it.

This bribery stuff wont stand the test of time. Foreign clubs wont buy poor players and football academies wont make money.
If u run an academy that way it will collapse in less than 5 years.
U make a lot of money for a good transfer. Just 50000 dollars and u are made.
I hope the owners of our academies are not this short sighted. Its better to make millions in 7 years than to be scrapping for survival because of what u will eat today

Osimhen this season:
Two Serie A player of the month award
Serie A team of the year
Serie A best striker of the year
Serie A top scorer award (loading)

It is criminal that he didn't win the player of the year. Like Gucci Mane one of my favourite rappers used to say, they used "Polite racism" on him. Gave it to his teammate so if he says anything he seems selfish.

Ecuador game, those defenders have little awareness. Made the Koreans seem super. But i rate their box 18 flair highly. They also seem to do well on the wings than centre. I hope we don't have a Yakubu this time sha. IYKYk.

Yes he can. If he joins them this summer for instance and begins with their U19 side, within a season or so before his 18th birthday, he could feature for the senior team if the coaches deem it so.

Look at Akinsanmiro. He just joined them officially in January (had pre contract agreement at 17) and he already made the bench of the senior side twice.

The U21 talent policy ensures this.

PS: Luka Romero (played against us recently) also comes to mind when he was 16.

ChrisKels:
With a schoolboy contract, can Daga play for Milan first team even before his 18th birthday?

I repeat, I don't believe we can not build a side that can match Argentina at U20 levels in talent and tactics. It is down to our selection and preparation.

So, I said, we should not get too excited about the win because we were dominated and outplayed. It is so simple.

We are not talking about what isn't or could have been.
We are talking of what is and what we have. We have followed this team right from the African qualifiers and we acknowledge the fact that this is not the best crop of Flying Eagles we have ever produced. They were the less fancied team going into that Argentina clash. We know, going by how both teams have played all tournament, that Argentina was the better side. What did you expect us to do? Try to pretend that we are better than them, play an open game and get trashed?

I prefer we play against South Korea than another South American country.

Korea vs Nigeria, Nigeria is the more likely side to win.

The way our boys play, it would be easier to boss those Koreans than if we had to play Ecuador.

We are too alert at the back to allow them see the chances that gave them their 2goals. Those Ecuadorian went to sleep. The pk goal shows that we will boss them in their 3rd. We just need to not be wasteful. Their defender forgot he's inside the box and pull the Ecuador guy. No awareness. I'm sure the approach to them will be different.

Juan Roman Riquelme, one of the most graceful and elegant playmaker of all time.

Highly underrated. Till date I still remember he’s run with villarael in the ucl where they were knocked out by eventual finalist Arsenal that season if am not wrong

Javier Pastore, is one of the best football dribbling artists I have watched. His intelligence was just on another level. From his Hurracan days to Palermo, PSG, and briefly at Roma, Pastore was outstanding with the ball.

Javier Pastore in Huracan FC, when he first burst into the scene. He took the Argentine league by storm.
