I didn't even hear about him until this moment. Maybe he was important to the people that knew him, but his existence or otherwise will make absolutely no difference to me and my family so....

Taiwo Ogunjobi was almost even more popular than the NFF chairman he worked under. That was during the Golden era of Nigerian football. smiley

He however in later years got his hand stained with corrupt practices during Olanrewaju Kayode's transfer and got a 10year ban! Some believe Kayode is still being punished because of that case.

His contribution to the growth of Nigerian football in the 90s was immense. He was a progressive. smiley

firstly, this comment is so insensitive as insensitive as they come, but then I'm not surprised, since you don't know Taiwo Ogunjobi it means you are a young chap who just started following the super eagles. @icon4s at a point I tot NFA scribe also means NFA Chairman cos na everyday Larry Izamoje dey mention his name. may his soul rest in perfect peace. and to think he contested in the last NFF elections

Taiwo Ogunjobi who was the Secretary General was more popular than the NFA chairman then, whose name I am still trying to remember.
Yes he was called the NFF scribe. Larry Echiejile/Izamoje was always mentioning his name because Taiwo Ogunjobi was a very active player in our football setting. It was as if he was running the show. Another NFA player was Kashimawo Laloko. This one na fire for fire, just that he became very greedy.

Berlin-born central midfielder of Nigerian descent, Sidney Friede is having a promising start to his career at Belgian First Division A club Royal Excel Mouscron.

The 20-year-old was snapped up by Royal Excel Mouscron on loan from German Bundesliga club Hertha BSC on January 17 and he has forced his way into the starting line-up so quickly.

Friede has started and gone the distance in the last three matches contested by Royal Excel Mouscron in the Belgian topflight, scoring two goals, most recently in the 2-1 win at Gent on Sunday.

If he continues his fine form, there could be a three way tug of war for his services as he is eligible to represent the senior national teams of Germany, Nigeria and the United States.

Having said that, the German Football Association are currently in the driving seat as he has earned 14 caps in total for their U18, U19 and U20 teams.

Friede became provisionally cap-tied to the Germans after making his competitive debut for the U19s in a UEFA EURO U19 Championship Qualifier against Cyprus on March 23, 2017.

The statistics show Friede can score goals as well as assist despite being a central midfielder, having contributed to 47 goals in 123 appearances for Hertha Berlin's youth teams in the last six years

Kash was practically imposing his Pepsi boys on the Golden Eaglets teams then. And then those his boys would settle him for it. He dented his reputation. I don't even know where the Baba is these days. grin

If the guy move to another team and start scoring goals what will you say ?

You go change mouth abi ?

Anyway he is not the first player that is out of form he is not the first player that will fail at a perticular team so you guys should stop celebrating and making it look like it's the end of the world for the guy

Kramaric failed at Leicester but he is a better player today after reviving him self at Germany .

I would have quoted that guy you quoted but I think the guy is a senseless human being

Crap! Utter crap!

ChrisKels:

U get time, leave dem make dem dey here dey form yeye brotherhood. Footbalically, no Ghanaian wants anything positive for Nigeria. I have lived with these people, nothing hurts them more than the success of a Nigerian. I understand it is normal as rivals buh Ghanaians no longer see it as mere rivalry, the hate has eaten so deep into their marrows that they can hardly give phlegmatic banters once on the podium against a Nigerian on football matters.

You mudder fuggerz should leave Ghana out of your crap! Ghana is not responsible for your country being certified a Sh1thole,huh?

Icon4s:

Bros if u were on Nairaland sports section and kickoff between 2007 and 2013 u Will not be seeing it this way. Those guys really hurt us during their hay days of 2009 WYC and 2010 WC and even few years after that. There were times i would stay away from Nairaland for up to 1 week because of those people.

If you know how the Ghanaians celebrated Nigeria's exit from the 2010 WC plus all those talk of the last we won a WC game was in France '98 bla-bla-bla. We had to hit them with AFCON trophy winless streak since 1982 grin

Those guys are crazy men....... They would insult our Footballers plus our government, economy even our movie industry and our Ladies grin

Some of them are still on Nairaland and would probably come here to spy on us tonight grin
Assuming the reverse was the case that they are through and we are out. They would have set this thread ablaze with their insults. Trust me on this. grin
