Without any other info from u, I'll torchlight the following issues
1. The mood of the vo
2. The manner wherein your wife answered
3. Her actual answer. I will elucidate a bit here.
' I went for 2 weeks but since I was stamped 6 months I now stayed back visiting friends and what not.' IMO that shows she had no serious ties in Nigeria. She could change her plans at the drop of a hat. Clearly, she had no job to run back to. Maybe she even took paid employment whil there #inthevo'svoice. She could even afford to stay2 months away from her husband that is s'posed to be a tie.
Who's to say she has not made arrangements to now stay forever now.
4. Again I think her whole answer was flippant. It could rub of wrong on a bad 'mooded' vo

Wayforward
Anytime she's reapplying, she has to have it in mind to prove strong home ties and that she did not work while in the us

@ladyG ... WOW (R u sure you have not worked at the embassy before)

I would like to thank everyone on this thread for their support through my second missionary journey, for keeping me entertained and for helping with solutions whenever needed. I returned to naija on Tuesday evening. It has been God all the way. I will share my testimony though this may be a long read (bear with me)

This pregnancy was a tough one for me and I thank God for how it all ended in praise. In the first 3 months I was bleeding and on weekly injections to sustain the pregnancy due to multiple uterine fibroids. At 11 weeks several doctors advised that I put in a cerclage to help me carry to term. Two days before I was to get the cerclage, my then 18 month old suffered 2nd degree burns in an accident and was admitted at the hospital for 3 weeks. I told God please spare my son's life, this one that I've known and nurtured, if you must take one, let it be the one in my womb. I didn't get the cerclage and I managed till January and everything normalised. Only rotimi get to the US and hear again about spots on the baby's heart from an ultrasound. The devil tried to frustrate me throughout but God was there every step of the way.

Labour and delivery.

I stayed with my friend who I also stayed with during my first missionary journey because we both have toddlers of the same age and were able to help each other and also keep the toddlers entertained. She went into Labour first on a Monday night, gave birth Tuesday morning. So I was home alone with the kids, and that very Tuesday at midnight I went into labour. I had to manage till morning when her aunty came to help me with the kids. So while in labour I waited for the kids to wake at 8am, fed and bathed them and arranged their things so her aunty would have an easy time. I then left for the hospital at 11am in an uber cab haha! The driver was so worried when I was screaming in pain. Got to the hospital and the doctor said my contractions were so strong that my uterus could have ruptured while I was at home, but my cervix was still at 4cm despite all the hours so i was wheeled into the OR and had my baby(repeat C.S).

Bills etc

Had my baby at Texas Presbyterian hospital Plano.

Vaginal birth- 4,200
C.section - 5,900

Doctors fee - Northlake Obgyn

Vaginal -2,000
C-section- 2,900

Epidural- us anesthesia partners

Vaginal-1,500
C-section - 1,260

(Yes c.s is cheaper for epidural)

Pediatrician charged 180 for in patient visits and subsequently charged 140 or so(for 2 post hospital visits).

Took 3 weeks to get all documents, had my baby 11th May and I'm home in Naija now.

Final testimony was emirates,we had 7 boxes( all overweight 2.5kg sef ) we were entitled to 6 boxes of 23 kg each plus car seat and stroller for two infants. They checked in all 7 boxes plus car seat, stroller and bassinet, we weren't charged anything, and luggage arrived safely. That was God again.

God bless you all.

You apply. It goes through an approval based on your profile and a spending limit given. Mind u, its a difficult process. If u have a dollar card then u have to settle in dollars at the end of the cycle. 45 days I believe
Ok thanks love

OK. We have been there, and it turned out bad. In our own case, nothing like pregnancy during interview, pregnancy came 4months after visa was issued. We couldn't travel for vacation due to father inlaw's sickness (later died) and burial.
We decided to give birth in Yankee, tried to process visa for mama, na dia katakata happen. Told mama to say na childbirth she wants follow go do. Naso VO said we lied during interview. To cut long story short they called all of us for interview and guess what after few discussion visas were cancelled.

Be guided, let her use the Visa for the actual purpose first.
on my God.... That's really sad... Sorry about that

just to give update on my decision so far as per giving birth in Yankee, after careful review and timeline my DH and I have decided to just jejely born the pikin( issue) for naija, I tried registering with the hospital in dallas I chose but my contact there was so busy and with the case of applying and securing close appointment date seeming impossible I didn't wanna risk paying a hospital 1k dollars for registration then begin speak phonetics after for refund, seeing as I didn start the process on time.

so my people any mamas recommend good hospitals in lagos ( am thinking of going with premier specialist in VI, grateful for reviews)

Hello ma'am. I wholeheartedly recommend Premier Specialists Hospital, VI! I had my kids there. Dr Olaleye was my ob-gyn and he is a good and patient doctor. The other ob-gyns there also come highly recommended.

1k USD for registration, is this contact supposed to be your host or something? Your EDD should be late August/ early September I guess, and closest appointment date is late July. So? Well, your decision ain't bad. Of course you know what's best for you
