THE BEAUTY OF THE CREATION

“The God saw everything that he had made, and indeed it was very good…” (Gen 1:31). Romans 5: 12-21 best describes the beauty of the creation. The beauty of the creation lies in all things made by God and the crowning of man as the head of all. In the process of beautifying the earth, God removed the darkness thereof, reshape it, made man in His own image and likeness and filled the earth with the necessary things needed by man.
After this beautification, God describe creation as being perfect and very good. At this time there was no hardship, no pain, agony or suffering. The first man was made to have dominion over all things God has made.
Gen 1:1-27 describes the beauty of the creation. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth…So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” The first man was beautifully, wondrously and fearfully made and these were the beauties the devil coveted and eventually marred.
Imagine the beauty of the Garden of Eden! Gen 1: 8-17 describes the beauty of the garden as a place of God’s divine presence for man’s fulfillment! In the words of the Psalmist, in describing how beautiful the creation was made in the first place, he pointed out the following:
Psalms: 8:3: When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
Psalms: 8:4: What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Psalms: 8:5: For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Psalms: 8:6: Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
Psalms: 8:7: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
Psalms: 8:8: The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
Psalms: 8:9: O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
However, in spite of all God did for man, our first parents, Adam and Eve contributed immensely to the frustration of the beautiful creation by having no power to say NO! Thus, it cost Jesus Christ His life to redeem the creation!
In conclusion, God made all things beautiful. The creation was perfect and His intention was that the creation should remain thus in the Garden of Eden. The world and the sons (the believers and saved) would have been saved from the labour of having to undergo pains and sufferings to free the bond creation. The Son of God, Jesus came to restore the lost glory.
