I don't see it that way. He is a true representative of his people working tirelessly whether by crook or good to attract development to his constituency ( core reason why he was elected) while his fellow southern colleagues continue to wallow in deep hate.

To be fair, the lower chamber often makes better resolutions after exposure to public ire.
