Directly reports to: Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer
JOB SUMMARY:
• To manage daily electrical operational and plant maintenance services of the Generation Station
• To manage the physical and human resources required to ensure efficient plant operations and technical services to achieve organizational goals
• To integrate the strategic plans of the organization with its operations
• To ensure the attainment of the business objectives of SPP by effectively managing and efficiently coordinating the plant operations of SPP

RESPONSIBILITIES
• You will liaise as the CTO-MCE with the O&M Operator for the safe, reliable and efficient operations of the plant.
• You will negotiate and manage the contracts and agreements with the off taker, gas supplier, and all other stake holders.
• You will develop and monitor strategies for the development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed.
• You will assign, co-ordinate and review the technical work of the Operator and any other special project teams.
• You will recruit team leaders and oversee development needs and maintenance of staff competence in required areas.
• You will be responsible for preparing the strategic planning about the operational and maintenance requirements and to set the KPI, and revenue budget for the business.
• You will make sure that safe working conditions prevail during the operations and maintenance of the plant.

Monitoring O&M Contractor to implement O&M Agreement and Plant Operations:
• You will supervise the O&M Operator in-line with the O&M Agreement.
• You will approve O&M invoices and resolve disputes (commercial and technical) with the operator.
• You will provide guidance to resolve complicated and critical technical operational and maintenance issues.
• You will provide guidance to both SPP and Operator team for the efficient utilization and management of resources (man power and other resources) for safe, reliable and efficient plant operations.
• You will provide guidance to the O&M Operator regarding the routine, preventive and predictive maintenance requirements.
• You will monitor the progress and quality of work orders.

Academic Qualification/Work Experience:
• Good University degree relevant to plant operations and technical services (Engineering, plant maintenance services and Power Generation)
• 10-15 years’ experience in the field of Plant maintenance and power generation.


3. Job Title: PLANT MANAGER: JOB REF: (UC/OR/PM/16)

Directly reports to: Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer
JOB SUMMARY:
• To steer and direct the Generation Station Company to transform it into an efficient and commercially successful Power Generation company.
• To set priorities and manage the day to day business of the Generation Station Company and ensure its growth and development based on the business plans and goals set for SPP.
• To constantly develop the workforce of Generation Station Company to deliver on SPP’s business goals and establish a culture of high employee engagement, professional and operational excellence as well as outstanding customer service.
• To manage relationships with key stakeholders-– government, regulatory authorities, government parastatals/ministries, the transmission company, distribution companies and host communities and balance the requirements of these stakeholders.
