Bayelsa United put a disappointing home loss to Stade Malien of Mali in the CAF Confederation Cup at the weekend to the back of their mind in order to beat Enyimba 1-0 in the Nigeria Super Cup on Tuesday.

In a match played at the Lokoja Township Stadium, striker Stanley Onwuachi grabbed the winner in the 32nd minute.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has decided not to relegate Jimeta FC of Yola from the amateur division one league on compassionate grounds after the club lost 19 of their players in a road accident.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) also rose from their Annual General meeting in Lokoja, northcentral Nigeria, to enter Sharks of Port Harcourt and Niger Tornadoes of Minna in the sub-regional West African Union (WAFU) Cup.

No it is not played behind closed doors, This competition is for west African only and it does not have the shine of other caf competitions because forth placed teams and runners up in the federation cup have been the ones going to the competition. There are also under 20 and 23 competitions also. There is a competition for national team based players like home based super eagles.

You never hear of it often because sometimes the competition is not played for some years,  it is like on and off and it was just recently started again.

You might be right anyway! grin grin grin
Small time, if they see more than two of their blood still on Bayelsa, they would say they are taking over, but forget that 20 other players that sum up a whole team straight from Bayelsa. tongue tongue

A very silly and tribalistic statement. Is Bayelsa not part of Nigeria? Are Igbos not Nigerians?

Just as your name states u are sure a dumb Bleep, while not ask why are africans playing in various football leagues in Europe when they are not citizens of any European countries,

last time I checked Bayelsa is not a country but a state in Nigeria and football is the one thing in Nigeria that is not as politicized as other things so any Nigerian can play in any club within Nigeria.

Uneducated fools like you are the problems with Nigeria
