Easiest cheapest way, Turn car on, turn radio off, press numers 1 and 6 for about 5 to 10 seconds.

I have a 2004 Honda Civic where the battery died. I changed and radio now has ERR7. I have looked at how to get serial number by pressing 1 and 6 together then turn on radio. The output is as follows.
